We loved it here. Really needed to get out for the weekend and it was a great choice. We fished for a couple days and just hung out and played with our dogs. Very pet friendly. They also have a couple playgrounds for the kids. Bathrooms weren't the greatest but they were maintained and do-able. Its camping so can't really complain. We got to see a few deer, armadillos, and raccoons. Didn't get a chance to check them out, but they also offer cottage and kayak rentals.
Oh yea, and very spacious. Definitely loved the space and natural separation at the tent camping sites

Camped at Ft. McAllister this weekend and really enjoyed the deer and other wildlife (racoons, armadilla, birds). The water pressure in the showers was amazing! Our grandson enjoyed the playgrounds and riding his bike around the campground.

Room tip: Tent site #63 offered the best wildlife viewing

There is no way I’d stay here again. We pulled in at 1:00, packed up and left by 4. There’s absolutely nothing pretty about the campground unless you like to camp in scrub pines and tall pines. Very old, run down. Restrooms were fairly clean, but old. With marsh land you get bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. GA low country is just not for us.

We stayed at one of the cottages, it was fantastic. Clean, modern plenty of room, wonderful screened in porch. The park is very nice and clean, saw some deer and raccoons, drove thru the campground, it was also very nice. Will stay again for sure.
