The church reproduction was great as was the volunteer staff who explained the exhibits. The B-17 was wonderfull but still being restored which was a little disappointing.

I have been here several times (didn't want to go) and every time I go I learn more. This is a place to learn history w/films, displays, interactive exhibits, photos and memoribilia. They have a real airplane The Savannah" that they are actually restoring. This is a tribute to these men & women who served during WWII. They also have a exhibit specifically devoted to woman. wow, what this generation didn't do! I especially liked the house they set up and you could see where they hid ruses men, fascinating. A must see for anyone who likes history. My 15 year old nephew loved it. Not to mention, the outdoor display of airplanes.
Great restaurant, food is fresh and nice little gift shop.

Admission is reasonably priced. It's no Smithsonian, but it does a great job of telling the story of the Mighty Eighth Air Force.

This isn't a warehouse full of old airplanes--it's a tribute to the Mightly 8th Air Force who fought and sacrificed during World War II. The museum has photos, memorabilia, several WWII aircraft, and exhibits that are worth spending time with. The best part, though, are the volunteers and guides who are there to take you through the Simulation and answer any questions. They have a cafe which is open for lunch, we weren't there in time but hope to go back for fish 'n chips. We spent over 2 hours there with our 9 year old son. You come out not fired up but thankful.
