“Womderful Food”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

Went with two of our wonderful friends. Had the snapper and the lamb. Outstanding and cooked perfectly. Runs about $25-30 a plate just so you know. The presentation is outstanding and everything is wonderful. If you're staying near Callaway and need a good nice restaurant this is the place for you. Just be sure to get reservations as seating is limited.

“Great Hospitality!”

It was a great spot to have afternoon lunch. Unique sandwiches that really fill you up. They also have pastries that we ordered for breakfast the next morning.

“Yummy!”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

I have been buying their Flax seed bread at the farmer's market in Peachtree City - wonderful! So, when I was in Pine Mountian, I looked for them to buy bread. They have a cafe! I had a Brie, pear, melted cheese on cranberry walnut bread. WONDERFUL. And potatoe leek soup very good. I am a foodie and love different, interesting taste bud dancing food.
Found out they have dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. I think road trip is in our future.
And the place is quaint , love the ladies room!

“Cozy, quaint unique dining experience.”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

Stopped in mid afternoon but were told they didn't begin dinner service until 6:00 so we made a reservation. There was some confusion from the staff on where the reservation book was. We returned at 6:00 and were told they didn't actually serve until 6:30 but that the staff who took the reservation didn't know about that change. There seemed to be a lot of uncertainty among the staff as to their duties. Instead of a designated person to greet and seat people, and another to work the counter sales, and then a wait staff, they all seemed to do a little of each. A case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing. Our server, however, was very knowledgeable of the menu and the food was delicious. My husbands trout was exceptional. They specialize in local sustainable ingredients, fresh from the farm. And the menu varies to reflect that. The atmosphere is quaint as every table is different, with different chairs, very historic setting, as though you are a guest in someone's home. Would definitely dine here again.

“Best Food I Ever Ate!”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

If you are ever in Pine Mountain, Ga don't miss the opportunity to have lunch or brunch at The Bakery and Cafe at Rose Cottage. The food is exquisite. My husband even loved the asparagus that came with his beef and that is saying a lot. He hates asparagus! I loved that they had such unique foods. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was awesome just like the rest of my meal. The restaurant is small so come early, enjoy an awesome gourmet meal and take home some of the wonderful baked goodies too. (The macadamia, white chocolate, coconut cookies are to die for!)
