Christmas Lights were great, birds of prey great. Butterflies were a disappointment. I would come back when the flowers bloom.

Thank you for leaving your feedback regarding your recent stay with our property. Guest feedback is by far the best way we can celebrate the things we are doing well or address things that we need to do better.

We are very sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations at the Butterfly center. The Butterflies fly more when the sun is shining bright. I know in the past few weeks we have had numerous days that were overcast. When you visit this summer, the butterflies will be fluttering about all day.

Wishing you the best in the new year!

We visited in the winter to see the Christmas Light display which were awesome. We also had the opportunity to visit all the gardens had to offer. It would take me a book to describe it all. I can't wait to go back in the spring to see this beautiful place again. Our winter visit was breathtaking I can only imagine what springtime at the gardens can be like.

Last night I visited the Fantasy in Lights show with my family, including two young children. The lights were good, with a few great displays. This was my second trip over the course of about 4 years. I've concluded that while the lights are nice, the route is a bit long and lacking in some areas. The weather was nasty which, of course, is uncontrollable. The things I was not happy about was the price of the ticket for the attraction. For two adults, it cost us over $50. This was to include a full day at the park which, as printed on the ticket, closed at 5:00 PM. When we arrived at 4:15 PM to join our family, we were welcomed to closing gates. The staff member closing the gates was not even kind enough to speak to us to let us know the garden was closing. We drove around trying to find out family. Once we came back to line up for the light show, we spent some time looking for the route to carriage loading. The only thing I was impressed with was that Callaway Gardens plays Christmas music that celebrate the whole reason for the Christmas season - Christ. Strictly looking at the value of this attraction, we will NOT be returning.

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your recent trip to visit Fantasy In Lights. Within your feedback it was great to read the many positives you point out and those will be celebrated but I am also very thankful that you pointed out and give some constructive feedback. It is this feedback that we take back to our teams and learn from and make positive change to further enhance our guest experience.

The tickets do offer the option of visiting the Gardens anytime from the date of purchase till December 31, 2013. This time of year the Gardens and attractions are open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.

We are truly sorry that you were treated as such at the gate as you entered. The issue has been brought to the attention of all gate attendants so that it does not happen again.

Best Regards.

Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights is a wonderful Christmas treat for any family. We went for the first time when our son was 2 and have been back many times since. It is a wonderful Christmas "getaway" for us when we just want to get out of the house and just spend some family time feeling the spirit of the season. They have a wonderful Fantasy in Lights package which includes an overnight stay at the Callaway Mountain Lodge. It is very reasonable and the staff is always very friendly. Even when it is crowded on the weekends, there is a friendly atmosphere. There is free cocoa in the lobby and a free shuttle from the lodge to the gardens for the event. The Christmas village is especially fun for the little ones since they have crafts and if you time it right they can even see Santa. They have lots of neat stuff to eat and drink in the village including an outdoor bar for those who want "grown up" hot chocolate. My favorite part this year was sipping hot chocolate, standing by a burning fire pit, watching the nativity in lights on he lake... and that was before we even got on the trolley for a wonderful ride through the lights. Important note from experience - always take a blanket on the trolley, it will be colder than you think regardless of the weather. The gardens themselves are also beautiful any time of year.

We are so pleased that you return to Callaway Gardens to make more fun and loving family memories. Fantasy In Lights will get everyone into the holiday spirit. Hot coco is always a favorite of mine when we go ride through Fantasy In Lights on the trolley. There are many things for people of all ages to do and try. Christmas Village is full of kid friendly things to do and plenty of Christmas ornaments to look and at possibly purchase to make that memory complete. Again thank you for spending time with us and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

After months of debating, I feel that the choice I made was the wrong one. Two years ago we went to the lights at lake Lanier and wanted to try something else this year. So not worth the travel. Sure it was festive, but I'd say that the shopping area and food vending area where much better. Some May like the trolley ride, but honestly we had the Christmas spirit family on our trolley that screamed merry Christmas every five minutes.. By the end of the trip, I wanted to jump out. The trolley ride was so bumpy, many people complained of an upset stomache. I don't want to be the negative one to sway anyone's decision, but I don't think I would return

Thank you so much for leaving your feedback regarding your visit with us here at Callaway Gardens but specifically Fantasy In Lights. Guest feedback whether it is positive or negative is very important to us as it is our main method for celebrating our successes or addressing our opportunities to improve our guest experience.

We are so sorry that your experience at Fantasy In Lights was not up to par. The narration and trolley ride are meant to help get everyone in that holiday spirit and for it to feel like you out on a sleigh ride. The narration does prompt riders to yell Merry Christmas to the other trolleys as they pass but this is only at certain intervals.

Best Regards.
