I love going to Perry! It is like Mayberry, RFD, and the folks that live and work there are friendly and nice. Lovely quaint downtown district, and lots of small shops to find antiques. Love Perry, Georgia!

Really neat little shops and eating places. Love going into some of the antique shops - friendly folks with a true southern hospitality!!

Not really a whole lot to do here. Similar to many other places that have kept and are trying to revitalize the spirit of days gone by. A few shops trying to capitalize on the theme but nothing to really make me go out of my way to get there.

Looks average for an older town. Not much there as far as originality. There is, of course, strip development all over. I had a hard time following the directions of a different desk clerk trying to find the Bank of America atm machine. It was only 2 or 3 blocks off of the interstate!

Downtown Perry consists of about 4 blocks full of containers with flowers and hanging baskets. The town is very well kept and offers a variety of curiosity shops, antique shops, coffee houses, restaurants and a fun family-activity store where you can paint your own pottery (The Peach Palette). Park your car (for free) and spend a few hours walking around.
I would recommend stopping by the Perry Visitor's Bureau on 101 General Courtney Hodges Blvd (off I-75) first and grabbing the "Self Guided Tour of Significant Sites" in order to make the most out of the visit.
