Coming from Chicago to visit a place that is a historical place was exciting and different. However Historical does obviously creepy and antique. From the front door on in is a moldy smell andmay come from the wood peices themselves but there is old smeLl neverthe less. In the womens guest washroom is an old relic of what used to be a toilet..wicker..which is just in poor taste. There isnt an elevator so u have to lug your luggage up a flight of stairs. The rooms are described as cozy..insert old tiny and creepy. wood work shows signs of wear and small a/c units are stuck in windows to cool u off. water runs slow and the floor...well lets just say its Bates Motel meets Southern Charm. U feel as if some thing heavy happened there..and it gets worst in the motel. However the staff is great and personable.

We stayed here for two nights for the Perry Dogwood Festival...we were vendors there for the weekend (Crafting From Our Hearts LLC)...the room was small and very cozy. Our bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in! Room was clean, had a really nice clean smell. It was very laid back and everyone, including the other folks staying there were so friendly and helpful. They have a dining room right in the hotel. The food was great and the service was also good not to mention very reasonable. We will most certainty go back there again!

This place is a time warp. It's the type of place where you can hear all the town gossip in the hotel bar. It's pretty much original from the 50/60's. If you're are squeamish about old vintage styling then you better drive on but if you want to take a break from this decade and several before it's a fun experience for one night.

Saw this on tripadvisor last year and had to cancel my first trip due to illness. So I made a point to stay there this trip south. Really enjoyed it. I had a choice of two rooms, was able to look at each before deciding which one I preferred. Very clean, nice decor. It's an historical hotel, so the rooms and bathrooms especially are smaller. But plenty of hot water and water pressure! and I had everything I needed including a fast internet connection. Ate dinner there, food was nice and reasonable. I definitely would stay there again. The pool area looks nice for the summer months. (definitely too cold in Feb.) cute town to walk around with some good antique shops in an old theatre building. The hotel has a nice small bar/tavern area and a large dining room.

Room Tip: JUst ask them what is available. I stayed in the main hotel not the poolside rooms. No elevator, if...

This hidden gem is an unbelievable find just off the interstate in Perry, Ga. Upon entering the hotel you are greeted by the wonderful owners who welcome you as though you were long lost friends. The unique atmosphere is truly more like a Bed and Breakfast then a hotel. The rooms are each decorated beautifully and are immaculately kept. The Tavery, an incredible bar/tavern located in the hotel has great entertainment on the weekends. The restaurant serves some of the best food I have had outside of Savannah. Everything is made from scratch southern goodness!
My favorite place however is the smaller pub complete with the nicest bartender around. A cozy place to hang out and meet your fellow guests and get to know the incredible owners. I promise you this is a place you will visit again and again!

On our way to a family wedding we stopped at the New Perry Hotel for lunch. Last time we had been here was in the early 90's. Still the same lovely dining room with excellent food. We had chicken and dumplings and red velvet cake. Not lite but delicious! A must stop!

We had the opportunity to stay in this delightful hotel recently when we visited the Georgia National Fair with friends. My husband is a Georgia native and is very familiar with the history of the hotel. We are very impressed with the renovation and restoration the new family owners are doing to return it to its former charm and beauty. Rooms are decorated with vintage furniture, wall coverings, and accessories. Some rooms are smaller than today's new hotels offer, but that is in keeping with the authenticity of the building which was first opened in 1894 and is now a Registered National Historic Landmark. The rooms offer all the modern conveniences one would expect. Staying at the New Perry Hotel will add a unique dimension to your trip to this historic town. The family members running the hotel are friendly, helpful, and the epitome of Southern hospitality . The service was excellent as was the authentic, made-from-scratch Southern food served in the lovely dining room. In addition, there is a quaint tavern room where you can enjoy a drink before dinner or after shopping or exploring historic Perry. We had a great stay a the New Perry Hotel and highly recommend it for a fun and unique experience.
