We stopped in Perry to visit with some old friends. At their recommendation, we met at the Swanson Restaurant. It was a pleasant evening, so we asked to be seated on the porch. The service was adequate but not outstanding (I believe this was due to unexpectedly heavy customer load for the service staff, not the competence of the servers).
The food was very nice and the prices reasonable. I had salmon croquettes. While they were tasty, there seemed to be more breading than salmon and they were a little "gooey" in the middle. My wife and friend had the broiled salmon and it was excellent.
The atmosphere of sitting on the porch of a large southern house with folks strolling by was very relaxing and comfortable.
I did venture inside the restaurant to use the necessary room. The inside seemed a little noisy and "snug" (i.e. crowded). It was also quite cool from the A/C. We were glad we were on the porch.
