Description: This unique, unassuming dining spot opened in August 2007 in the eclectic community of Serenbe, located just outside of Atlanta. Owned and operated by the restaurant's namesake Chef Hilary White and husband Jim White, The Hil is their vision for a refined, yet informal, neighborhood restaurant, with a dedication to serving simple, farm-fresh cuisine. Rounding out The Hil's team is Chef Hilary's mom, Sandy Pitsch, an experienced restaurant manager. The family effort at The Hil is a central element inspiring the restaurant's trademark warmth, consistency and superior service. Chef Hilary's diverse menu is guided heavily by produce from Serenbe Organic Farm located just around the corner from The Hil. Vibrant flavors of the ingredients, prepared simply and served at precisely their peak, tell this story and make each dining experience at The Hil distinctive.

“Rustic. Chic. Excellent.”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

We absolutely LOVE this cozy spot nestled in the heart of the unique environment that is Serenbe. The distance from farm to table is often measured in yards for chef Hilary, as she continues to deliver extraordinary meals from locally sourced ingredients. Whether it's the exceptional chicken pot pie or ribeye steak (usually on the menu) or the creative combination of the freshest ingredients available on a given day, she consistently produces meals that delight.

And the dining room is very much like a favorite relative's home, filled with warm laughter and elegant (but functional) dishes and glassware. If you are fortunate to be served by Sis then you will be welcomed like family. We have enjoyed seeing the familiar faces among the staff since their opening in 2007 - we truly feel at home, and believe you will too!

“What a wonderful experience!!!”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

I was recently in Serenbe to participate in the 5K race and was excited to see that The Hil was open following the race for brunch. We ate on the patio and the owner brought out heaters to warm us up. The waitress was also quick to provide us with some hot coffee and even recommended some fresh baked monkey bread. To say the least it was delicious!!! I also had the pimento/bacon/egg sandwich (who watches carbs after a 5K :) ) and it was wonderful. The atmosphere and the food was excellent. I hope this was the first of many visits.

“Top Notch Service”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

We decided to take a quick day trip over to Serenbe to check out the place. Our first stop was The Hil for a bite to eat. I loved the atmosphere - I almost felt like I was at the beach!

We ordered a mimosa and a delicious fruit cocktail with gin and elderflower. We also go the hummus sandwich and the salmon flatbread. So much food!!! What impressed us the most was how knowledgeable and helpful our server was - Autie. I hope I spelled that correctly. He's been with The Hil for a while and knew the menu backwards and forwards. Then, after our meal, he took a sharpie and drew a map of the property for us and recommended places to stop. So nice!!

Definitely recommend The Hil when you are visiting Serenbe. Great place, great food, outstanding service!
