Lovely, friendly clean hotel, with cheerful staff. Food was very good and great value. Breakfast staff even gave me crispy bacon when asked!
Would thoroughly recommend if you are attending a wedding at Dundas Castle as Only 5 minutes away by car.

Dear Megan F

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and found the team to be friendly and cheerful.

Crispy bacon for breakfast is one of my favourites too, so I’m delighted the restaurant team managed to provide this for you! I will be sure to pass on your comments to the team in the Brewers Fayre.

Once again, thank you for your review.

We stayed here just for one night on our way to Lancaster from the city of Edinburgh. The room was very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. We had a good night sleep after a long day spent in the city. In the morning, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and it was excellent. The staffs were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast quality was excellent and its good value for money. We really enjoyed it as we need to start a day off to a long journey to the east. Overall, a very good hotel and definitely would stay here again.

Room Tip: This hotel has no lifts. (Not sure if they have any service lift as they only have two floors) If you have heavy luggage, it is wise to have room at the ground floor.

As a party of 9 golfers we were looking for a hotel base for two nights as we played 3 courses in the area which included North Berwick West Links, Duddingston and lastly Goswick (Berwick on Tweed) on our way home south. The Hotel is a relatively modern facility and his linked to a Brewers Fayre restaurant/pub which provides excellent breakfasts and an extensive lunch and dinner menu which although basic in the gourmet stakes is of reasonable quality and more than sufficient in quantity to satisfy the hungriest of golfers and believe me we have some pretty peckish chaps in our party. The alcohol prices are also very competitive and probably the lowest in the area which also went down well with the boys. The hotel rooms are comfortable, clean and flat screen TV's and Wi-Fi were all on offer at a price when we stayed of £44 per person per night (2 sharing) and this included a full breakfast. The hotel is close to Musselburgh and within 15 miles of Edinburgh. It is great for local golf courses and will also appeal to holiday makers who do not have a lavish budget.

Room Tip: No need a very quiet faclity

The room was comfortable, the food in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast was first class served by enthusiastic friendly staff. The Brewers Fayre serve yourself buffet was excellent value for money as the quality of food presented was excellent. The nearby Park and Ride at Wallyford is the best way to travel into Edinburgh as the train only takes ten minutes and the parking is free. The spacious public rooms also helped to make this experience most memorable. I'll be back.

Dear Postman442

Thank you so much for your lovely review of our hotel, we always appreciate feedback from our guests.

I will be sure to pass on your comments to the restaurant who will no doubt be delighted to hear how enthusiastic and friendly you found the team. The buffet is great value for money, Italian night on a Tuesday is one not to miss out on.

The park and ride at Wallyford is brilliant for transport to the city, I'm glad you managed to make good use of it during your stay!

We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel again.

Kind regards
