“Pleasant stop between Macon and Savannah”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

Had the buffet and all was good. Also had some fried green tomatoes that were terrific. They also have a nice menu selection and heard the Shrimp and Grits are very nice. The restaurant is situated on a small lake in a nice setting and the staff was helpful.

“Pleasantly Surprised”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

Always saw this place on our stop to Savannah in Metter. Didn't want the Big Mac or Zaxby this time. Tried this place. Used to be a Western Steer. Typical American hearty fare. Most folks got the buffet. A bargain. Looked plentiful. I got a well grilled burger and great hot crinkle cut fries. Love those. Others got the not greasy chicken fingers and crab cake sandwich. All good. All hot. Friendly staff. A great place to stop off the interstate. We'll be back. Oh yeah. The name is as I suspected. Owned by BEVerly and RICK.

“Longtime local favorite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

This is the local favorite. They have been around for 30 years; changed names four years ago. The lunch buffet is a great value, with a wide variety of good southern home cooking including fried chicken, mashed potatoes and rice and gravy, greens, lima beans, full salad bar and peach cobbler. That isn't even half the buffet selection. I enjoyed taking a small self-serve soft-serve ice cream cone to go.

Located on the pond with window tables having a nice view across the water. Plenty of parking. Friendly service.
