Been here several times. Good food but slow cook. But that is the French way. Americans want fast everything. Take your time and enjoy. Small place but lots of parking. Better to go on a off day. I give these folks a A

No passport required for this short visit to France, Le Café Crepe is a small, inviting creperie tucked away on Marietta's railway station walk off the main drag so to speak. We were greeted at the door by the Madame of the cafe, while the Monsieur worked in the kitchen preparing meals. Listening to the piped-in songs of Edith Piaf and other French performers in the background, we truly enjoyed every item ordered by our group of four while sharing intimate conversation and a lovely dry French white from the Alsace region. From beginning to end, a memorable experience.

This is a neat experience--true French cuisine tucked away in a rustic, Bohemian-decorated, (looks like perhaps a converted stable?) The dinner crepes are lovely, flavorful, and made to perfection. I always get the #21 chicken Florentine with mornay sauce. The tomato basil soup is also delicious, very creamy. I have grown to love the vanilla ice tea they serve. Saturday nights they offer a fancy course offering that changes each week.

Our favorite French restaurant in the Atlanta area, Cafe le Crepe is very authentic. Everything is "special" here, if you like Old World style.....slower pace, yummy food, low key.....you will leave happily satisfied. The owner does everything, so be patient. This is not a showy place, but quite cozy and simple. The food is wonderful....the tomato basil is perfect, the French onion is the best I've had (seriously), the crepes are a treat, and the hot chocolate is worth a visit just on its own merit. It is really a jewel of a place, and a wonderful spot to have a great conversation without constant interruptions or loud, distracting patrons or staff. A unique, hidden little jewel. Highly recommend! Just check your Type A-ness at the door :) and settle in.

Date nights are few and far between with twin 3 year old boys! When I get to choose, it's always Le Cafe Crepe! Alfred has maintained his food quality for many years. Looking forward to my yummy chicken crepe tonight!
