Out of ketchup - No white wine - Kids menu states dessert included - out of dessert. Waitress included her 18% tip in the bill - is this legal????? What a rip.

This is a cute place, without doubt. However, our grumpy waitress was clearly annoyed by the fact that she had to work that day, but delivery was quick. The saganaki was made with halloumi (a cypriot cheese) not the traditional Graviera, Kefalotyri, Kefalograviera. I had the youvetsi, which was served with SIX pieces of lamb which while tender was totally lacking flavor. Instead of a sauce, it was more like a soup and tasted more like Ragu than the flavorful traditional sauce using cinnamon and allspice. My mother in law had moussaka - more potato than anything but it was good - just not traditional. The others had gyros which were "okay" but nothing more. The final straw was the menu stating to "ask your server" about desserts as there were too many. When time for dessert came, we were told the only choice was baklava - really??? And it was served with chocolate sauce - again not traditional. I got the distinct impression that this was either greek food prepared by non greeks, or the recipes had been "americanized" for local palates or something of that ilk. The food wasn't bad, it was edible but totally lacking in flavor and missed the greek food mark it advertised.

My husband and I would probably give this place another try but it probably won't be anytime soon. We really enjoyed the appetizer of stuffed grape leaves and his lamb dish was incredible. I got a dish (can't think of the name) with fish kebobs and it was only okay. It was pretty dry and overcooked. The prices are on the high side so there are probably other places we'd go first. The service was horribly slow. Everyone was very pleasant but we almost just left several times waiting to be acknowledged, and decided not to get desert because we knew it would tack on another 15-20 minutes of waiting. Even at the end of the night when there was one other table in the restaurant we waited 25 minutes after we had fully finished our meal to have them come over and bring us our check.

y wife and I and another couple ate at the Blu Greek Taverna off Marietta square recently. The atmosphere was pleasant and we were greeted and taken directly to our table. We ordered two appetizers for the table, a grilled eggplant spread and a kalamatta olive spread. The olive spread was OK but uninspired (i.e. chopped olives), the eggplant had an awful after taste. We all tasted and disliked it. We tried to send it back and were told it was the grilled flavor and was supposed to taste that way (although she hadn't had it). I tried again saying we didn't like it, had no one else mentioned that it didn't taste right? No, we were the first complaint. At that she took the plate I handed her, which seemed to irritate her. The entrees arrived and were all four just OK. I had the Moussaka which was mediocre and served along with canned fruit and soggy rice . At this point our experience was still only a bit below mediocre. Then the bill arrived; she had not removed the inedible spread from the bill and had generously tipped herself 20% adding insult to injury. Apparently, they add gratuity to ALL bills, regardless of the size of the party. An unpleasant experience. We won't be back.

We were looking for a great Greek restaurant and finally found this wonderful place. The owner greeted us and gave us a glass of champagne as a welcome...the food was so tasty and plentiful! Really can't wait to go back again!
