The Marietta Confederate Cemetery is absolutely beautiful, the structure and landscape of the property brings so much integrity to the City of Marietta.

It's not much more than just a cemetary. There are a number of older gravestones but, as I said above, unless you know who and where you're looking for, skipping this as a destination would probably be best.

This is a great old cemetary. Lots of interesting photo ops.
The local boy scouts put up flags at every grave and the result is really quite dramatic. it's worth visiting if cemeteries are your thing (or it's Memorial Day)!

Reb or Yankee - you should stop here for the peace and tranquility that pervades the space. Even though my sympathies lie with the Union, I was moved reading some of the headstones here - you really understand that is was brother against brother, especially if you also visit Marietta National Cemetery nearby, where the Union soldiers and sailors are buried. Both are great places to contemplate the past, and thank those who gave their lives in order for us to be free.

Great place to go if you are a civil war buff. Unfortunately, not a place that I would go multiple times, but the two times I have been there I learned a lot about how it impacted this area.
