“Cool!”
Reviewed June 2, 2012

My mama took me years ago, and I will never forget it. My grandma was pregnanat with my mom when she had tickets to the premier in 1939. Needless to say, Grandma wasn't allowed in public for that kind of thing in 1939.

“Eh – If You Are Absolutely Crazy About Gone With the Wind, You May Like It…”
Reviewed June 1, 2012

This wasn’t the most extensive collection I’ve ever seen. (Honestly, I think the Margaret Mitchell house downtown is more interesting.) There are a lot of replicas, but there are some pieces that are original and lovely. Seemed like endless Gone With the Wind books printed in different languages. Some newspaper articles from back in the day, and a couple of seats from the now-gone Loew's Grand Theatre (famous for the movie premier). The gift shop contains a large variety of “Scarlett with an attitude” sayings on souvenirs. This wasn’t just wasn’t my thing. If you are really into GWTW, then you may find it a useful companion to your GWTW body of “I’ve Been There” places.

“Must see, even for 30 minutes”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

If you are in Marietta it's certainly worth going, but I would not drive an hour to get there, unless you are a GWTW fanatic.
The museum is small but it has a few great pieces. The staff is super friendly. Good themed gift shop.

“Good but needs better lighting”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

Great collection of memoribelia, but the lights glared on the glass of the cases and photos...the gift shop needs a better selection of gifts......
