After having lunch went over to the to the square to relax it was fun to people watch. The square is very well maintained. The fountain was running, flowers in bloom. Then we did some shopping in some of their quaint shops. We make it a point to visit the square when ever we are in Marietta.

We wanted to check out the square and were pleasantly surprised by the farmer's market and small art show on Saturday morning. The square has some nice cafes and then the addition of fresh produce and other southern goodies all around made for a great visit.

After eating at a restaurant across from the square, we decided to relax in the square before we headed back to our hotel. It was fun to just people watch as lots of people were out walking around the square. Lots of benches to sit and relax. A little train play area for the kids. We were treated to some music coming from a rooftop bar which added to the ambience. Wasn't there on a Friday evening but I'm told apparently there is musical performances on the bandstand there on Friday evenings.

Walk around Marietta square after a leisurely meal of outside seating in the nearby restaurants. With beautiful lights, diverse passersby, and lovely window shopping. Have a pleasant night out on the town without draining the bank!

Going to the Marietta Square - with its centered flowing fountain, old-fashioned bandstand, romantic gazebo, tiny children's playground, historic monuments, brick walkways and benches - is relaxing, quiet, and beautiful. Yet it also hosts free evening concerts, changing historic displays, and arts & crafts shows.
