“Scenic natural wonder in the southeast”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Budget cuts = visitor center closed, maintainance lacking. As others have stated, it's muddy, since your walking around in creek beds, can't imagine how you would be able to hike during rainy times. Beautiful views and unique geological wonders. Some losers unfortunately find the need to deface the canyon walls.

“Simply beautiful”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

This is a fantastic park. The views and trails are excellent. Bring your old or hiking boots. You will get muddy or at the least moist. From the the welcome center take the trail down to the first creek and enter the canyons 1 - 5. The second creek allows you to enter the remaining canyons. Georgia truly has some amazing parks.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

There are several ways to enjoy this place; it's beautiful to look at; some trails that are challenging. It's interesting how the place got started, poor farming practices I guess are a lesson for us all.

Despite that, the canyon is neat to visit and a surprising find in Georgia.

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

There is a hiking trail, for beginners that takes about 2 hours and is very steep. There is a 7 mile trail that is very rough. My husband and I took the shorter one and it was really nice. You don't have to walk to see the canyon though. It is a sight to see! There is a $5 fee

“Great place for a hike.”

We took our church boys here for a day hike. This is a cool place for a day trip. The hiking is easy.
