We visit here every year as part of a family weekend from Atlanta. This is a fun and fascinating place that is unique in its own right. Beautiful vistas and super cool walking paths. The owners keep things up to snuff and they have added some nice looking bar/ bistro rea up top. We did not eat here but looks inviting.

We returned this time just to obtain high quality leather belts for my husband, and mom found her dream leather purse here as well. A gnome city in my flower beds may be the next shopping trip. Gail

Amazing views, gardens, stone work and mysterious little elves. There is a cafe and several gift shops. This is a pet friendly attraction. Lots of walking and climbing not stroller or wheel chair friendly. Narrow crevices to squeeze through and a scary rope bridge if you are afraid of heights. Lovers Leap was amazing. Everytime you turn a corner you find beautiful flowers or elves or wood carvings . Swinging benches are carved out of tree trunks. Caves and waterfalls and plenty of shade and resting areas. If you are afraid of heights this may not be the best place to visit. The bridge and Lovers Leap are very intimidating. You can see seven different states and the views is stunning.

I had been when I was 12 years old. A bit had changed and I enjoyed it as much at 44 as I did when I was 12. The swinging bridge is now a memory from both trips. I bought a bird house this time and will display it with pride.

Beautiful view going up Lookout Mountain. Easy to find and good parking area. Take your walking shoes and camera and be ready to take amazing photos and see stunning gardens. My family like the gnomes but I think the whole gnome figurines need a little TLC. If you are a nature lover this is a must do while in Chattanooga...but remember...you are going to walk outside at least for 1hr to 2 hrs. so early mornings are better during the summer.
