“A totally warm fuzzy experience”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Recently spent a wonderful 2 night stay at the Chanticleer B&B. My wife and I stayed in room 15, which is nicely located and quaintly romantic. Totally relaxing and cozy environment. The staff service, antique room furnishings, accessories and bedding are all top notch. Also, very much enjoyed the daily breakfast and snacks. Thanks.

We stayed in room 15 and it was very comfortable. The food was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. They offered to make reservations for dinner and gave suggestions. They also offer discount tickets to attractions in the area. The inn is close to Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the Incline Railroad. The B&B is close to Chatanooga, TN. There is plenty to see and do in the area. There is a pool onsite to cool off after touring the area. The stone patio is a good place to have a homemade treat and something to drink and recharge for the rest of the day. The owners are very nice and a pleasure to talk to.

Room Tip: All rooms are in "cottages" so there are no stairs to climb. There are no rooms above so t...

We really enjoyed spending a couple of nights at the Chanticleer. The inn itself is charming, well kept and has an amazing location across from Rock City on Lookout Mountain. Breakfast was excellent and I am certain I will dream about the raspberry gooey bars they had set out in the afternoon along with some of the best cookies we've ever eaten. Our room was lovely. Had a little trouble with the steam shower, but otherwise we couldn't have been happier.

I`ve stayed in B & B`s all over the world and very few have ever been as relaxing and comfortable as the Chanticleer Inn. The facilities are excellent and the breakfast and service are wonderful. Breakfast on the stone patio started our day with courteous and friendly staff. Snacks, cold drinks, and coffee are available all day. All of the staff was great but I must say for all the ladies there to know that Rob Rocks.

Some B&Bs are quaint, but the beds are creaky and food just so so. Chanticleer felt like an excellent hotel in terms of the beds, linens, bathrooms, towels, details in the room, without being kitchsy or overly cute. The room was very comfortable and soothing, within the setting of a classic stone cottage and beautiful landscaping. Colorful flowers, tidy shrubs, and shady trees all over the property, and a beautiful 8 ft deep pool. We loved breakfast on the stone terrace under the shade of the magnolia trees--only drawback was the traffic noise from the intersection at the corner (did not notice any noise at night though).
The food was amazing, delicious, and beautiful presentation (the guy is a trained chef).
Great location: close enough to Chattanooga, but far away and high enough to feel secluded. Rock City is just across the street and down a little, a nice walk.

This is one of my favorite B&B's so far! The layout of the Inn was nestled within trees and a beautiful little garden. You wouldn't believe you are right across the street from Rock City as it is so quite. The rooms were very clean with gorgeous furniture & decor. Breakfast was great as were the afternoon pastries. The area the Inn is located is breathtaking. Every one was very friendly (Jackie, who worked in the office was especially nice). We were also greeted by the owner more than once during our stay. After staying in a couple of other "well known" hotels in Chattanooga, I would recommend this one hands down!

The Inn is well managed, clean, friendly and a charming place to stay. All the good comments are well earned. Breakfast is terrific and the in room amenities are
well thought out. Even with warm weather there are plenty of places to sit in the shade on a stone patio and enjoy the complimentary lemon aid or tea (and sweets), very relaxing. A great place to stay in the Chattanooga area!
