Chanticleer Inn Bed and Breakfast
Certificate of Excellence

We stayed at the Chanticleer a couple of years ago on New Years so we could visit Rock City Gardens and see the lights. The Inn is directly across the street from Rock City so it's a great place to stay. This visit was even better. My husband reserved Room 11, which is a two room suite. It was beautiful. Very large with a gas fireplace and a jacuzzi tub which was so relaxing. The bed was so comfortable and we had a little patio outside the front door (there are two doors). The staff here really makes the stay special. The young girl who checked us in was so helpful. Gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant and even called and got us a table (it was New Year's Eve) and provided a map and directions. We had a lovely dinner and when we returned, had cookies and hot cider that the Inn provides every night along with some other sweets, teas, hot chocolate, etc. Our room was so comfortable, we just stayed in and enjoyed the fire. The next morning, we had a really nice breakfast provided by the Inn, puff pastry with ham, cheese and eggs and the best strawberry preserves! It's just a beautiful place, the rooms are spotless and just a very, very special place to stay. The owners of this place have really gone all out to make it something great and it is. We have also stayed in Room 14 which has a really nice steam shower, but Room 11 was just lovely. My husband had also ordered a fruit and cheese tray that was delivered when we arrived - crackers, cheese, fruit and meat. There was water and soda in our fridge and ice already in the bucket. Towels were soft and fluffy and there were bathrobes in the closet. Just a great, great stay. Thanks Chanticleer!

Room Tip: Each room is unique I think. I loved Room 11 with the large living room and separate bedroom. Love...

Loved everything about the Chanticleer Inn. Warm, inviting, quaint atmosphere. We stayed two nights in Room 12, one of the exterior cottages. It was private and quiet, and we had plenty of room. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and the extremely comfortable bed. The extra touches, such as a small refrigerator, flat screen TV, plush robes and whirlpool tub made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast both days was absolutely outstanding. I would love to see this Inn during the spring and summer - I'm sure it is enchanting.

This is an absolutely beautiful B&B! There are 18 different rooms with varying amenities, all of which are lovely. The grounds are charming, well maintained with lovely landscaping. There is impeccable attention to detail throughout from patio chairs outside each room, swings, treats in the main inn, just every possible need and want attended to already. The owners are present and live onsite, always available if they are needed. It is evident how much they love this place and that is passed on to the employees and guests. Breakfasts are delicious! The property is peaceful and quiet, just outside of Rock City. This was our first stay at a B&B, and we are hooked! Thank you to Audrey and Rob, the owners, for everything. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: We were in Room 6 and loved it. The two person jacuzzi tub is fantastic, and we loved being able to...

Our brief 2-day stay at the Chanticleer Inn B&B was a wonderful escape for a quick weekend getaway. The charming property atop Lookout Mountain was beautifully maintained and the owners' attention to "the details" was evident throughout--both in the amenities and in the delicious homemade breakfasts and evening treats. If only we could have stayed longer! We'll be back! Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful stay we had at Chanticleer B&B during Thanksgiving week while visiting family in the local area. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room along with a quick stop to point out the things available in the common rooms. Room 17 is probably the most exposed guestroom, with an inside entrance and adjacent to the inn's common area and breakfast service. Given that there would be some unavoidable noise nearby, it was still reasonably quiet, along with comfortable, clean and more than adequately outfitted. The grounds are very nice and the breakfast and afternoon snack offerings were great. The owners and staff were lovely. We'll definitely do it again on our next visit to Lookout Mountain.

Room Tip: There are only three rooms in the main building that might be a bit noisier due to their proximity t...

We had a wonderful visit to the Chanticleer. We stayed in room 11. Room 11 is much more them just a room. It is really a small cottage. The front room had a fireplace, two love seats, a TV and coffee table. Very comfortable. The bedroom had a king bed and a 2nd TV. Their style is understated luxury. The property’s beautiful stonework has a timeless quality. We loved it. Breakfast was very good. It was served by the owners and we appreciated the personal touch. They had homemade cannoli for an afternoon treat. How wonderful! While we only had one night we could have been very comfortable staying a week. We enjoyed exploring Lookout Mt and the city of Chattanooga
