Description: The Bonanza Thai Restaurant. Thai food is becoming more and more popular internationally recognition as one of the world's greatest cuisines, because of its authenticity. But we have never ever forgotten my Grand-mother cooking at home. The Bonanza is a family style Thai restaurant (Home Made) is like you sitting with your parent at home. We are not a luxury hotel like and not fast like a five star restaurant. But we are cooking from the heart combining the art of cooking that we have learned and improved. We hope you enjoy the food this place and you will recognize and be happy, Thailand as a family.

Went there last week with a friend
the portions are so generous, the starters were not oily at all considering we had calamari and veg tempura, no oil at all and very fresh and tasty.

Main course was absolutely divine! Thai Red Curry excellent flavour and love that they do a vegetarian version without tofu but full of fresh vegetables, pad thai amazing!

Great service and not over-priced

This is a little hidden gem in Wallington, but book if you are going as they are always busy which is a good sign.

Second helping of lovely Thai Bonanza within a month. It’s a lovely place to relax and soak up the buzzy atmosphere while waiting for the delicious food. Jumbo prawns in green curry were so yummy, followed by duck curry. Both dishes excellent. Must return to try hosts recommendations, if interested you will need to ask her yourself (I’m sure you won’t regret it).

It's difficult to find a really nice local Thai restaurant, but this is certainly one of the better ones and the food is much tastier than that of most of the competition in the surrounding areas.

Don't be expecting a large and comfortable restaurant though, this place probably only has about 20 or so covers and is a little bit too cosy inside for my liking! That's probably why we usually opt for takeaways.

One criticism would be that they seem desperately short of staff, meaning you need to keep ringing back for ages till the ONE member of waiting staff is able to come and answer the phone! Last time I ordered I'd been trying the line from about 6.15pm and didn't manage to get through till about 6.50! Then was told the food would be an hour. Please also bear in mind they don't deliver, so the hour wait was for collection. When I got there to pick up the food the poor waitress seemed run off her feet, trying to manage a restaurant full of tables, bringing out food, serving drinks and answering the phone! I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but that should not be at the expense of customer service!

Anyway- the food is good and I would recommend trying it out. Hopefully they'll start to deliver soon too.
