“AMAZING FOOD.”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

I am a food connoisseur. Have traveled widely and am a cook.. We decided to try this place after reading multiple positive reviews. The owner James Wang is all smiles and happy to help with directions(we were lost due to Gwinnett Fair).
Our waiter was very cheerful. Once seated quickly, he assisted with the menu. The place is casual but has fairly good decor. It used to be a Thai restaurant in the past which closed down. The present owner kept most of the Thai dishes on the menu and added Chinese also(That was a very novel idea).
The beef salad was really tasty. The spring rolls (vegetarian) was also served hot and crispy.
The main menu consisted of vegetarian Penang Curry and Shrimp curry. Both tasted fantastic accompanied by brown rice.
The dessert was Green tea and Mango ice cream -- both tasted really good.
The five star is for: Prompt and courteous service, friendly servers, fantastic tasting food, and well worth the money we paid.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

The food is as good as a high end Chinese/Thai restaurant in a major city. The sauces are amazing. Lots of meat in the dishes. Took some vegan friends there and they served tofu/vegan dishes. Everything is fresh, tasty, and worth the money. Try the sticky rice for dessert!

“Excellent surprise”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

I did not know what to expect when we had a friend ask to meet us here. My first thought was that we will be driving past several other Asian dining choices just to get to Lavender, but it turned out to be worth it. My wife got something served in what looked like a bird's nest made of dried noodles and just raves about it, and I got a spicy beef that was excellent. We will definitely pass up those other places to come here again!

Love this place, fresh ingredients, nice people. Not run of the mill Chinese or Thai, really like it.

“Consistent”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

The food is always on target. The best dish is the Singapore Noodle. Love the curry in there. The sauteed beens are to die for. Every now and then the service is slow because they don't staff up for peak nights. It's not a deal breaker for us though.
