Suppertime arrival and the staff has our room assigned and we checked in just like that. Staff help us find a non chain place to eat supper as well as a place to buy some beverages for our room.

Public areas of the hotel are very clean and our room is spacious and comfy for our one nite stay.

The Ragin Cajin was recommended by the hotel staff. as a place to eat that was not a chain.

Internet, breakfast and fast am checkout are advertised.

Room Tip: Great location for the south bound drive to Florida.

Overnight stop while traveling north...Had hoped to get in a good workout after driving all day...all 3 pieces of equipment in the Fitness Center were out of order. Even the clock was stopped....
Staff members were courteous; breakfast was average.

We made our reservation from the road but knew that if it was a Hampton Inn it would be nice. It was truly one of the nicest! Lake Park is out of the touristy area, still on HWY I-75 but sort of tucked away with limited lights to mess with your sleep. Those lights that were outside were discreet. The location if the hotel is perfect. Just off the highway, next to a couple of good family restaurants, and the rooms are excellent. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Beds comfy, room very clean, staff super. Super nights stay.

New property, clean rooms, indoor hallways, good beds, nice hot breakfast... book early for best rates. They even have a "grab and go" option for weekday breakfasts. Serene fountain indoors near the breakfast courtyard. If we can leave Atlanta early enough, this is our preferred place to stay on our way to Disney. No pets allowed. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: If you want an early start, ask for a room on the 1st floor as it is close to the breakfast area.

I stopped 1 night on my way to Florida. I've always been happy with Hampton Inns and this is no exception. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The only thing I was disappointed with was the breakfast. It was standard, waffles, fruit, cereal, toast. Most Hamptons have at least 1 other hot choice. I would still stay here again.

Room Tip: I chose higher floors for the views

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2012

We were travelling to Florida for our family vacation. We always stop in Valdosta for the night, where the kids can get out of the car after driving all night and through the day and go for their first swim in a warm destination. We chose the Hampton Inn because they are known to be clean and nicer than the average, plus they had a pool and workout room.
We got into our room on the main floor, the hotel room was clean and beautiful. The main floor or dining room was set up nicely and clean. Then we put on our swimsuits and went to the front desk for towels. We were all in our bathing suits and were turned away because the pool would be closed for 2 days while they were cleaning it. Although I appreciate that they were cleaning it, we always stop with a place with a pool for the kids. Then, we got on our workout clothes and went up to the exercise room. They had 3 machines. Two of them did not even work because the cord was ripped out of them. Then the treadmill which did electrically work was so old that the dash monitor didn't work. You didn't know how long you walked, how far you went or how many calories you burned. We ended up leaving the cardio room, and walked outside, which doesn't really have any side walks. It was very disappointing.
After coming in after dinner, they had cookies ready, and we watched tv with the kids and the beds were very cozy. There is definitely good to say about the Hampton, but this stay was definitely disappointing.

Room Tip: The main floor was convenient and not too noisy
