There had been flooding in the area the week prior to our arrival and it appears that the hotel may have sustained some damage. There was a lot of first floor renovation going on and the outside area had stacked up ruined rugs & furniture. With this aside, the lobby and breakfast area were very clean and dry. We had a second floor room which was clean and our beds were clean and comfortable. I did not note any odor, either from smokers (we had a non smoking room) or water damage. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast, although not huge, was quite adequate....not the best, but certainly not the worst we have ever had as a free breakfast. We had a hot meal, and took along some fresh fruit for our travels. Jesup itself was pretty limited for dining. Lots of real fast food, a southern buffet, and a higher end restaurant....there wasn't much in the middle. Though the hotel was adequate, on our next journey we will opt to get to Statesboro which has many more hotels and restaurants to chose from. This hotel filled the bill for this trip...nothing really negative about it and nothing superb about it. The price was right and we felt safe.
