We probably would not have visited here if someone we know on the island had not recommended it. However, we learned a lot and it was interesting and easy to enjoy. Since it was a rainy afternoon this worked out perfectly.

This is an excellent family fun & learning hands-on experience! Much more than a $7 attraction, this is a fully operational rescue & recovery station for sea turtles with scientists & knowledgeable intern staff to guide you and answers any questions. Impressive & interesting work being done there & lots of great hands-on exhibits for kids to participate and learn. We spent several hours there in exhibit area, turtle hospital, rescue tanks, scheduled feedings, and a gift shop with unique, high quality items for purchase help support their efforts & consider joining their club to help more! Great exhibit for any age or type of group.

Interesting exhibits, knowledgeable guide. Neat to see all the turtles in their sanctuary. Doesn't take too long to go through. Worth the time.

Interesting information about turtle habits, life cycle, factual information, warnings about pollution and the future of turtles and our planet. Turtle hospital and turtle feeding of the patients. Reasonable entry fee $7/adult, $6 for seniors.

What a bargain. The entry fee is small and goes to support a wonderful cause and a wonderful facility. The weather on Jekyll Island had turned blustery, so my husband and I spent a very happy three hours at the Sea Turtle Center.

The exhibit hall is very well done, and even fun for adults as one goes through stamping a card to see, if you were a sea turtle, whether/how long you would survive. The level of information provided was just right between appealing to children and informing adults. We also sat in on a talk about turtles in general, learning the difference between turtles and terrapins and tortoises.

After the exhibit room (or before - there's no enforced order) one can go visit the turtles in their rehab facility and learn still more about them. We were fortunate enough to catch a presentation by one of the interns, telling us about each turtle, why it was there and what outcome was expected.

This is a great place for all ages and everyone will not only learn but also enjoy!
