Spent a few days at the Hampton Inn on Jekyll Island, GA over spring break. The hotel was great....just really crowded with families enjoying the island. We took the historic trolley tour and found it extremely interesting. The guide was well informed and passionate about the historic preservation on the island. A definite "must do" if you visit the island. We also visited the sea turtle hospital and found that fascinating. What a lovely, relaxing island....some great waterfront eateries with lots of seafood specialties. Just be prepared for the "no see ums" which are prevalent during the late afternoon /early evening hours....wear long sleeves and long pants or stay inside....we learned the hard way!
