Great for a day on the beach as well as a wonderful stroll - for miles and miles. Lovely sand, shallow waters and despite being the Atlantic, quite warm.

While maybe not the most pristine "beach" in the world the driftwood along this beach offers some great photo's, views of St Simon Island, a fishing pier and boat traffic in between the islands. A short walk from the parking lot will have you on the beach and while I was there it seemed as iff the sand was moving there where so many little crabs who would dart about when you got close.

This is an awesome beach. The driftwood trees are incredible! Everywhere you turn is a picture opportunity. You should definitely go when it is low tide, but go back when the tide is high just to see the difference.

Walking around and climbing the trees is a great way to spend a few hours if you are not a sun-bather. Plus there are many little tidal pools with assorted crabs and crawly things to watch.

It is not well-marked or easily identified. But as you drive past the village look for the condos in the trees. It is just around the bend. There is parking on the road.

Skip the professional photo for your holiday cards next year and come here with your camera or iPhone in hand. At sunrise or sundown but definitely at low tide! Peaceful and easy on the eyes. Friends have married here. Relatives have all photographed here. It is gorgeous.

it's a little hard to locate, but worth the effort. the view of st. simons is good, but the trees on this beach are unique. not much beach due to the trees/driftwood, but very pretty. take your camera, you'll want pictures.
