Very nice and clean hotel on Jekyll Island. Kids loved the pool and fire pit. Walk to the beach was easy and fast. Staff was friendly and accommodating helping us get into our room and hour early. Glad there was breakfast provided in the morning and bar/grill was convenient (a tiny bit pricey-but worth it) since we stayed at the pool for lots of the time. Beach was nice and landscaping around the hotel was pretty. Nice hotel, pleasant staff and great place to stay to enjoy the beauty of Jekyll Island.

Room Tip: Ground floor was perfect for us--easy access to pool for kids!

We stayed at the Hampton for a week this March with our 2 teenage sons. We've stayed at different places over the past 4 years and we were worried that we wouldn't like the Hampton because you can't see the ocean from the hotel. But we were very pleasantly surprised. They have kept the natural environment and I loved the walkway through the trees to the beach. It kept the pool area private and secluded. The pool was heated and the fire pit was great at night.
The room was a good size, clean and well equipped.
The lobby of the hotel was one of the most welcoming I've ever been in. It seemed there were always people there, either for the breakfast buffet, at the lobby bar enjoying a meal or a drink, or sitting by the fire reading. They always had coffee or tea available and warm cookies every afternoon!

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. While our expectations weren't particularly high, we felt that our visit was better. The hotel is in a great location--just a very short walk to a great beach. The hotel is a little older, but it is well maintained and clean. The staff were very accommodating and the service was good when we needed it. The pool was a little small for the size of the hotel, but that was not really a big deal. It has a sloped-bottom entry on one side, allowing effortless entry and exit. We would stay there again.

For the last 2 years, my wife and I have spent 4 nights during Thanksgiving Weekend at The Hampton Inn & Suites. We travel with a small dog, a miniature dachshund, and was thrilled to learn upon opening, that The Hampton accepted pets. Our dog is completely house-trained, does not shed, and is cleaner than most people, so whenever we travel with him, other people in the hotel do not have to suffer. That is not always the case with pet-friendly hotels, but The Hampton is the cleanest and most pleasant pet-friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. We encountered multiple guests with pets, but the cleanliness, quality, and service at the hotel are not comprimised at all. The rooms are all very spacious and comfortable, and the setting in the trees on the other side of the dunes at beachfront is gorgeous. I would highly recommend this hotel, and particularly to guests that travel with pets.

Room Tip: If you would like a balcony with your room, you have to reserve a suite, otherwise you only get a wi...

We just got back from our week long stay. It was great and we will stay here next time. Keep in mind when you read my review, the hotel was at capacity almost all week. Maybe all week, not sure. I am very happy with our stay and HIGHLY recommend it.

Monday, the cleaning staff was on their cell phones the whole time they were cleaning. We used the pool, beach and hotel this day and noticed this from morning til late afternoon. Our room still wasn't cleaned so I finally got mad and complained to the Housekeeping Supervisor. I never saw a worker with a cell phone again. I actually went down Wednesday and thanked them because the service was so much better.
Everything was great until Thursday night at 10:30. We got a call that we were being too loud. We were all sleeping. We are early birds so we are usually settled by 10. The room above us was super loud but I think we as vacationers all need to realize that kids will be kids on vacation. We need to remember how exciting it is for them to be on vacation. We don't let ours run crazy and we discipline them but even ours ran when they shouldn't have and played in the halls a little. I would be lying if I said they didn't.

We LOVE the breakfast offered. Always clean, food is good and well stocked. This is a very positive thing in my book.

24 hour coffee is awesome!

2 suggestions......
#1 Please put safes in the rooms. Many of us have electronics that would be nice to put in a safe. Instead, every morning we would take our Ipad's and purses/wallets to the vehcile and lock them in the vehicle.

#2 Put an area where we can store our bikes under cover. We had to lock ours up against a tree over near employee parking.

Once again, we are 100% happy with our stay and we will stay here next year. Safes would be a BIG addition.

We just completed a three night stay while attending a wedding. What a pleasant surprise. Large clean room and bathroom. Courteous and helpful staff. This hotel was packed to the brim while we were there, yet there was no degradation in service and/or quality. The complimentary breakfast was quite good and there was plenty of room. The weather turned an unexpected chilly for this time of year and there was a fire in the fireplace in the lobby and in a fire pit outside which were very nice touches. Highly recommended!

The room was smaller than I expected. There was often a long wait to ride the elevator. Our room did not have a tub, and the shower head was too high for us to reach. The complimentary breakfast was very good.
The bed was comfortable, but the noise in the halls made it difficult to sleep.
The cleaning staff does not realize that some guests speak many languages and that their conversations in the elevator and in the hall can be understood.

Room Tip: Be sure to find out if the shower head can be reached without standing on a chair, some rooms have t...
