My wife and I spent four nights here last month. This is a very attractive hotel and the amenities exceed those of most other Hampton Inns. As others have noted it is in a wonderful location and the beach, almost deserted during the off season, is a short walk from the property via a walkway. We had a spacious dune side suite with a private balcony. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were quite professional and friendly. I would have given this hotel five stars but I thought that it was a bit noisy. Voices, tv, etc. could definitely be heard from adjoining rooms and the heating/ac unit made a noise even though it was turned off. It did quiet down at night but was still annoying at times. I would go back to this hotel and recommend it.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms would likely be quieter.

Loved the location and surroundings Giant live oaks surround the property and beach access is easy. Bike hire was convenient and a fun thing to do. The night time quiet was a real treat. Breakfast was okay.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful live oaks draped with spanish moss. The beach is easily accessed by a short walkway over the dunes and the beach is very private (right now...new hotels probably going up as they try to attract conferences to new convention center). Can ride bicycles to historic district and all over the island as they have great bike paths through the beautiful scenary.

Room Tip: Top floor on back of hotel! Hotel is surrounded by beautiful live oaks...short walk way to beach. Ve...

This is a beautiful new facility with some really nice additions beyond the usual Hampton hotel. Half of the hotel rooms have balconies that face the ocean (though there's no view of the ocean with all the trees/dunes in the way). It was nice to leave the screen door open and hear the waves crashing in the evening. There's easy access to the beach via a boardwalk through the dunes (which is partially-lit at night). This place also has a bar and small restaurant, good alternatives given the limited food options on the island.

The decor is really nice and matches well with the low-key island beauty. It's well worth the price and I would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: Choose a balcony room

Although it would have been nice to have had a view of the beach. This quaint little hotel was a short walk through(over) the dunes to the beach, which was very wide and beautiful. The pool was warm particularly important since it was 35 degrees one day. The hotel staff was very attentive and everything was kept clean and stocked. We enjoyed the hot chocolate and coffee available throughout the cold days. Breakfast was very good and unusual that it lasted for 4 hours. The dining area was large which is also a treat for a free breakfast hotel. Although we didn't use the bar they had menu items available as well as a full bar with happy hour specials. The workout room was extremely well appointed for the size hotel. The only complaint is the Work "closet" was very HOT. Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel unless you just have to see the ocean from your room.

The staff here will do all they can to ensure you have an excellent stay. Even the smallest issue gets attention. If they think you need or want something, they will rush to provide it. Two members of a VERY busy breakfast staff went looking for a straw when they overheard my son request one for his juice and I couldn't find any. I didn't ask them to do so. The room was very nice and comfortable with great access to everything. Amenities are excellent.
