The rooms were as expected from a Hampton inn, good size and clean. Beach was fantastic, pool area lovely. Only downside of the pool was the constant attacks by flies. Whilst not the hotels fault it would put me off visiting again as impossible to even read by the pool.
The reception manager on our first evening was far less helpful and personable than his staff who were on duty at other times.
A shuttle bus is provided to local restaurants but can be unreliable - you are sometimes left with a long wait.

This would be the perfect hotel to stay in for a great beach holiday. It is almost brand new and is a boardwalk bridge away from the beach. They have a beautiful pool and spa located between the hotel and the beach. Bikes are available to rent and breakfast is part of the package. The only downside is the limited number of restaurants available on the rest of the island.

Nice room with amenities. On the fourth floor there is just a glimpse of the ocean. There is a long boardwalk to a delightful perch with an expansive ocean view. Bed linen was clean and high quality. Good coffee.

Nice place but remember it has no beach view only pool, parking lot and forest view,I think the prices for guest rooms where on the high side for this time of year but you have to make your own opinion about that. The free breakfast was alright and it will get you going in the morning. The Hotel does have a bar with a limited bar fare menu Burgers, Chicken tenders and etc, which was nice. Staff was great and check in and out was speedy. They also have a forest boardwalk to the beach and bicycle rentals. Safe Travels!

We visited this hotel in June for a family vacation and were so impressed with every aspect of this hotel. The grounds are well maintained, immaculate with beautiful landscaping. We were greeted quickly by the friendly staff at the front desk and every question was cheerfully answered. Our room was spacious with microwave and mini fridge (great when travelling with children), very clean room and nice bathroom. The workout room was very nice and the dining area was large which accommodated quite a crowd at the complimentary breakfast. The pool area is beautiful - large pool with walk-in area for young children, separate baby pool, and separate large hot tub. There is a window where you can order lunch/dinner items and drinks and tables to enjoy this snack. There is a sitting area with fire pit as well. The hotel has a bridge through the trees which goes to the beach area. Beautiful, uncrowded beaches!! The island is a protected park so there is abundant wildlife and sea life - dolphin, crabs, deer, sea birds, and of course the amazing loggerhead turtle nests everywhere. The hotel offers turtle tours in the evenings where you can watch the female turtles laying their eggs. We were always too tired from our daily activities to do this but people said it was amazing. We had reservations for 5 nights but after 4 a tropical storm arrived and we left a day early. The staff was completely understanding, and happily removed one night from our bill. All I can say is I am ready to go back TODAY!! Wonderful Hampton Inn, best I've ever been to.

We arrived the day after Labor Day to beat the crowds and the Hampton was very nice. Traveled with our small dog and he was more than welcomed by the staff. The room was very large with a balcony, mini fridge & microwave. The best part is the beautiful walkway thru the trees that leads directly to the beach. It was never crowded and we found over 50 sand dollars. Lots of horseshoe crabs also...You can't beat the free breakfast every morning with waffles, oatmeal and a change every day of omlettes, sausage, biscuits and gravy etc. They also had 24 hr. gourmet coffee in the front office which was very nice.

Ate at most of the restaurants on Jekyll and visited St. Simons which is not too far away. Also took the dolphin tour which was very nice...lots to see.
Overall, we had a wonderful time on Jekyll and will definitely return to the Hampton!!

Room Tip: If traveling with a pet, you will be on the first floor which was fine with us.

Fantastic stay in mid august. So peaceful. Hotel is beautiful and unbelieveably clean. Pool is great, love the zero entry. Perfect family getaway.island was beautiful, and so quiet. More sealife on the beach than any beach vacation we have ever been on. Sand dollars, dolphins, sea turtles, horseshoe crabs, etc. Kids were in heaven.
