Cool hotel right near Jackson Lake. Stay here everytime I come down to go fishing. Never been disappointed with my stay. The rooms are pretty big so if you're going with a group you can bunk up. Tip: request a room away from the train.

This is a lovely southern style inn tucked away in the sleepy town of Jackson, GA. My husband and I love exploring America's backroads and we stumbled upon this gem. The staff was very friendly and we felt at home here. If you walk around the hotel and banquet hall you'll see a ton of Jackson's history in the artwork and photos. We had a lovely stay and will certainly come back.

This hotel had a very accommodating person at check-in when I got there very late. The room was very clean and roomy and all the extras you would want.We chose this hotel based on its price. It was certainly not a disappointment. The bathroom had a warm shower in the morning. The whole hotel had a "lodge" feel to it, very comfortable.

This hotel lacks any sort of management. There is never anyone at the front desk to make sure that the building is secure. When a couple was having a very loud and very physical dispute in the room next to us at 2am we called the front desk. The refused to call the room, go to the room, as well as call the police. After several requests we were told to 'be quiet'. We called the police ourselves. Do not stay in this hotel. Our room was also very dirty, and not kept up.

Almost canceled after reading reviews, but stopped to check it out. Sheets are clean, bathroom and towels are clean. There are burn marks in the comforter but it's a smoking room. Fridge is quiet, guy at the desk pleasant, no trains yet. Only one little tiny corner of wall paper peeling. Perfectly ok.

Our family made reservations so we could be in town for my brother's funeral. They took our credit card numbers. While on the road to Jackson, we learned they had sold all our rooms to gas company workers. They claimed the place had been sold out for three weeks. Why then would they accept our reservations on 10/1? The owner is a blatant liar. A couple of relatives who didn't get cancelled out said the place smelled and the coffee (no breakfast is served) was terrible. This same thing happened to another couple in June. They had made their reservation 5 months ahead for a family reunion! Obviously, if you want a reliable, decent place to stay, don't book here unless you bring your own tent.

Room Tip: Since I didn't actually get to stay there, I couldn't say. Best advice, book somewhere else...

I wish I had read the reviews before visiting this hotel. We had travelled for a few hours and saw this hotel, which looks good from the outside (don,t be fooled). We were given a room which had wallpaper peeling off the walls, the lamps, window cills, and fitments in bathroom were dusty and the bathroom was so grosse I refused to shower there and waited until we had arrived at our next hotel. The train track runs directly behind the hotel and the trains run frequently through the night. This had been a Best Western hotel which has been removed from their chain (I wonder why????) couldn't wait to leave the next morning!!!!
