“Love this place!”

This is a great place to hike or bike. Their trails are marked well. They offer three different trails from beginners to advance routes. We can't seem to get enough of this place. We never get tired of seeing wildlife and the beautiful trails that flow through the woods. The adjacent nature center also offers a great place to take the family to view the variety of animals that they have located on their refuge. This is a great place to go on a picnic too. After visiting several trails in the area this has become our favorite place to go.

“What a great place!”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

We camped at Indian Springs State Park this weekend and were planning to go to Jerrell Plantation Sunday but found it was closed. A quick search of attractions on TripAdvisor (my travel bible) led us to Dauset Trails, about 5 minutes from the park.

I was AMAZED at how beautifully maintained the place was...and they charge no admission (come on, people, leave a nice donation - it's WELL worth it!). The animals were awesome, the cages were spotlessly clean, the gardens were perfectly groomed - make sure you do the tree hike at some point - 31 different trees are identified on a nice, meandering trail that takes you right by a lotus pond.

We visited Sunday around lunch time and it was really quiet...things were picking up as we were leaving at around 2:30.

This is very much worth your time - plan on staying at least a couple hours. And bring lots of quarters if you want to feed the animals!

“It was free to get in”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

the best of it was it was something to do that was free to get in. We enjoyed walking the nature trails that wind through the animal displays. These people help injured animals live and also teaches children about wild animals, alot of what many have never seen before.

“First visit”

Shaded trail. Donations accepted. Surprisingly large variety of animals when we went. It was a pretty area with a separate display of a farm with barns, machinery, barnyard animals and crops. Educational as well as recreational.
