Description: January 17th will be our last day open in Hiawassee. We are moving our restaurant to the lovely square in Blairsville. This is a very exciting time for us. We are doubling our square footage so we can offer our guests more variety and comfort. Hiawassee will always be our home but we are looking forward to our new adventure in Blairsville.Italian Life Caffe is a full service boutique restaurant with a creative menu and generous portions. We specialize in house blended loose leaf tea, illy espresso coffee drinks, and our wonderful desserts. Our Executive Chef is Michael Collins, Sous Chef Lenny Collins and General Manager Lisa Collins.

Been a year since my last visit to Michaelee's and the food is still some of the best in the area. I had the shrimp ravioli and one of the chocolate mouse cakes for dessert. Both were excellent. Love this place, wish I could eat there every day.

For being reviewed so highly we gave it a try. The food was good. Service not so great. A bit pricey for the quality and amount of food.

Vickie at the Ridges recommended we go to this "Chocolate Café"...sounded strange to have sandwiches with Chocolate on them...but that isn't exactly what you get. They make a wrap with chocolate in it, and fill the wrap with various foods. We had one Chicken, and one Roast Beef.

The Chocolate wrap gives you a subtle Chocolate flavor and aroma, and the stuffings were fresh and delightful...what a great taste.

The place is clean, the staff is amazing, the desserts and chocolates can add a zillion calories...but worth every minute on the treadmill!!!!

On all the planet, this is now our most favorite sandwich shop!!

I made reservations from Florida and we were greeted and seated by very nice people. The place was very busy, not very big, but well worth it. The food was out of this world. Highly recommend you try this place.

We just stopped in for desserts to-go so I can't comment on the other food. The atmosphere is not real casual, doesn't seem comfortable unless you're OK with a little bit of an upscale feel - my husband really prefers a more laid back feel. (He wants biscuits for breakfast as opposed to an omelet in a chocolate wrap with salted caramel dipped bacon). The staff that we had contact with was very accommodating, but I wouldn't say friendly - but good at what they do.
We knew that we wanted a few things to go so we went to the counter. Granted, we were there at the end of Valentine's weekend, but the selection was VERY minimal - they had chocolate truffles, raspberry, key lime and cappucino, as well as 3 cake options. We got 3 truffles (at $3/each) and a piece of chocolate cake - it was almost $16. Not terribly high, but I don't think the quality of the truffles stood up to the price tag, they didn't seem homemade to me. The cake, however, was terrific (it was the Chocolate Mousse cake).
Maybe we just got the short end of the stick since we were there Sunday after Valentine's Day?If we were in the area and needed a quick chocolate fix, we would go back for the cake - and might give the truffles another try if they had more variety available.
