The Brasstown Bald shuttle driver recommended Michaelee's and we are very glad she did. The 4 cheese lasagna was very fresh. The shrimp chocolate wrap was unusual, but tasted wonderful. The muffuletta and turkey reuben were also good. The atmosphere was nice but the tables are very close together. The deserts were temptingly displayed and the truffles were yummy. The service was excellent and prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. We will definitely be going back!

My husband and I checked Trip Advisor reviews and decided to lunch at Michaelee's Chocolate Caffe in Hiawassee, GA. It is a lovely little restaurant with great service and very good food. I ordered the Turkey/Brie/Strawberry/Arugula Sandwich and it was wonderful. My husband decided to try the "chocolate" wrap w/ steak and thought it was OK. We shared the chocolate mousee toffee dessert and it was excellent! Ambiance is very nice, but somewhat crowded on seating (little privacy). The restaurant has front entrance space for sale of teas, etc. that would be better used for tables. Overall, it was a good experience and we would recommend this restaurant.

Food selection is terrific for such a small town I the Georgia Mountains. Pasta tasted home made, desserts and amazing, everything is very fresh. Staff is pleasant. Prices are what you would expect for a nicer quality restaurant. Sunday brunch is also a good choice. Several egg Benedict options as well as omelets. Note omelets do not come with toast.

My wife and I has lunch there in late September and it was excellent. The restaurant was recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel and we were a little dubious about it. But when we got there we were pleasantly surprised. It was an unexpected find. It had great salds and entrees and amzing chocolate desserts.
