Hotel is average, and hotel staff is friendly and unfreindly depending on whom you encounter. Breakfast on weekdays is served till 10am, but if you go down to breakfast around 7am on a weekday, they have one person working breakfast who is very unhappy, and likes to show it.

I made a mistake reserving the room with HH points. The desk clerk made every effort to help out and the motel made it right. The pool area had a few leaves but overall very nice. The river access behind the motel was great and the shaded picnic area was excellent.

This is the nicest of the hotels in the Helen area. It's in a perfect location to walk to dining and shops. The hotel is very clean and the staff is professional. I was given a smoking room even though I requested a non-smoking room, but the staff acted quickly to correct the problem and we ended up extremely satisfied with our room. The continental breakfast is very good and the hotel is quiet and comfortable. Since we were in a mountain region I didn't expect great internet service, but I had no problems. Our experience with this hotel was very good!

We go to Helen almost every year. We go for the 4th of July. We try to get a place in downtown Helen so we can park the car and not move it during the 4th because traffic is slow. The Hampton in close to the river. The place is the cleanest place we have stayed at in Helen (We have stayed at about 8 places). The cost is reasonable. They do have a nice breakfast and the customer service is excellent. From now on, we will probably stay at the Hampton, unless we get a cabin. I would recommend to anybody. Helen is a smal little tourist towns, so you will not find the cheap hotels. We did stay at cheaper hotels, but they were not as nice. The little extra we paid was well worth it.

This was the best hotel experience we've had in quite a while. The suite was great, comfortable, quiet, fresh and clean. The staff were attentive, polite and helpful. Brenda was a stand out (in the breakfast service area). She sincerely wanted to be sure we were satisfied and not just us - I saw her checking on others too. We stayed an extra day because it was just so comfortable and friendly!
