“Beautiful but extremely limited access.”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Such a waste of a natural resource not to have more public access to is. Too much private land and not enough federally funded public areas. A real shame to live here and not be able to enjoy it without getting chased off.

“very pretty”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

this is a really nice river we saw the parts that were all through Helen. We even did some tubing down the river. Got some nice memories of being on the river.

“So lovely mornings, day, and evening.”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Loved sitting by the river in the evenings, so peaceful and beautiful. We also enjoyed watching the children play in it and had fun with them.

“Chattahoochee River”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Rising in the eastern Appalachian Mountains, and ending as part of the Apalachicola which empties into the Gulf of Mexico, no portion of this river is without history and ample recreational pursuits. In Atlanta, there are the remains of Civil War earthworks used during the siege of Atlanta in 1864. Up and down the river are impounded lakes with boating, fishing, and swimming.
