Classic Ritz style on Lake Oconee. This resort, hands-down, has one of the best Ritz spa facilities. The body treatments and massages are pricey, but worth ever penny. Try a weekend package deal for a perfect get-away!

Gabbies is a fun spot for a special occasion. With the pool on one side and the river on the other, it's a great place to enjoy nice weather. The only problem that I experienced was the flies which were abundant and aggressive.

As a golf destination, Reynolds Plantation is quite the spot. The main resort complex is beautiful. I love the pervasive grand wood interior. The staff was attentive and friendly.

However it is pretty limited. The added beach and pool are small ... like tacked on. There were pontoon boats and personal water craft for rent.

I was here on a corporate event and the meeting room and associated dining events were great. Cocktails on the patio outside the Georgian Bistro was engaging and well laid out.

The room was nicely appointed and my lake view had a nice balcony overlooking the green expanse and pines that lead to the lake.

But in the end, outside the golf ... I'm not sure there is enough to draw me back with my family.

The ritz Carlton properties are always excellent and this is one of the best. The setting, the food the service was second to none. It was a bit chilly (October) and the setting on Lake Oconee is fabulous. We ate at Georgia's and had one of the best restaurant meals I have ever had. The golf was excellent and this is a must stop for those seeking golf, recreation, relaxation and a good spa. I'd return here before Pinehurst. I would not want to live here, a bit remote but an excellent visit.

Room Tip: Get a one bedroom suite at the end of the long, long hall.

Would definitely recommend the Ritz-Carlton at Reynolds Plantation to friends and family. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The spa was relaxing and the food was delicious.

The Oconnee Lake setting provides for a stunningly beautiful and tranquil getaway spot. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurants on site are convenient but serve average tasting food at exorbitant prices. In fact, this is probably the most expensive hotel we ever stayed in. The one significant flaw was that the mattress on our king size bed had huge body size indentations on each side. They were so deep that once in a sleeping position, it was difficult to roll over. That sorry old used up mattress was reason enough to honestly say I probably wouldn't recommend this property.

Room Tip: Avoid 337 because the mattress is awful.

This was my first stay at a Ritz. Many friends have stayed here and at other Ritz locations, always told best of the best. As well, consistently told to stay on concierge level, well worth the extra cost. I booked a room for 1 night after the UGA/ LSU football game, standard room since our time was severely limited. Great, easy drive from Athens.
The game was down to the wire so we were later getting in then I hoped. Check in was 15 minute slow, computers seemed down, not sure what the issue was but man checking us in was super friendly, and super slow. Upgraded to a lake view, ate dinner at the bar area/ gatsbys I believe was the name. Not a ton of options, especially for the kids, service was friendly but fairly slow, and of course, expensive. We had s'mores by the the fire pit out before heading to the room, kids had a quick late night swim in the heated pool and we checked out at 6 am to go view lake properties with an agent. This property is stunning, very pretty and overall very nice. I was not blown way by the service although did not spend enough time to really get a feel. Will stay here again, when we have a full weekend to just relax and enjoy.
