Hello,
I stayed July 29th through August 2nd. What a beautiful campground!! I think it is definately worth the money!! If you are staying here for any activities at Fort Benning, I do suggest giving yourself plenty of time to get around - you are definately out there when staying at this campground, but worth the little extra drive time.
I felt at times the staff were unprofessional, that being from the first time I called to make the reservation and throughout the whole process. They are very friendly and nice though!!

They are renovating and updating so we had a couple of hickups but great bang for your buck. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Variety of overnight options including tent and rv sites to cabins and chalets. Pool, playgrounds and boat rentals a bonus.

We stayed in the Executive Chalet, and it was very nice it had 2 bathrooms which was nice with 4 of us staying there, I would definitely stay there again if I had a chance,. they provide most every thing except laundry detergent and coffee filters...there are grocery stores near the camp ground. and walmarts are la little further away I would stock up on all your food and drink do you don't have to run out to town, they don't let you check in till 3 so keep that in mind. of course base is near by... don't forget to get charcoal and you can get firewood at the camp store. We went thru base to get to all the ceremonies. and graduation it was faster....

Loved the campsite, but during this time of technology it does not have Internet, We stayed at a campsite and also had family in a cabin, Love the deer roaming during the day, The cabins were very nice, It is also equipped with a country store. Our son in law graduated Basic at Ft. Benning, and the drive was not too bad to the Main Post

Uchee creek is a great pet-friendly option for people staying at Fort Benning. We stayed in a large cabin that had enough room for 4 people. There is only one bathroom and another drawback is that you are at least 20 minutes from main post. Other than that Uchee creek is a comfortable and secluded place to stay. And I really enjoyed my stay.

Room Tip: Don't forget basic house essentials like paper towels.

We stayed in a chalet at Uchee Creek for 4 nights for our son's graduation from BCT at Fort Benning. There were 6 of us, but the cabin could have slept at least 10 (children in the bunk beds).
The cabin was clean and nicely laid out. The bedrooms were fairly small and there was only one bath but we enjoyed it much better than staying in hotel rooms. The cabins have a nice wrap around porch with plenty of room to cook out and even set up our corn hole game. We stocked up on groceries on the way in (exit 6 in Columbus has a Publix). The kitchen was sparsely furnished if you do a lot of cooking, but there were plenty of dinnerware and utensils. Our grill was rusted through but a visit to the office brought around a replacement.
We were able to get Wifi and even cell phone service which surprised us. The drive to the graduation events took 30-40 min. but that did not bother us. We enjoyed watching the airborne school make their drops and even found the field where they land to watch from close up.
The only drawback was the big roaches ( we only saw 2), but this is the south and we were not surprised to see them in this wooded environment. We also saw two snakes along the water's edge while walking on the fishing pier.
NOTE: This is a campground for military families. I was able to make a reservation with no problem, but I had to show the office the graduation letter from my son's commander since we did not have military ids.

I stayed at Uchee Creek twice, Feb and March 2013, while my son was in basic training. There were 4 and 5 of us in a small cabin the first time, and a medium cabin the second time. Tight for that many people but we loved it. Able to sit on the porch and walk the grounds gave us some space, it's rugged but more freedom and more relaxing than a hotel room. Wifi available throughout the campground. The cabins have coffee pots, utensils, pots, skillets, fridges, stoves, plates, bowls, basic linen, showers. Bring your own groceries, coffee filters, coffee, pan for making biscuits, extra blankets if needed. Allow about 30 min to get to the barracks or grad field, but mainly bc you are driving through the base and speed limits are slow. The staff was helpful. Note: not all GPS's work well on base, google maps did fine though.

Room Tip: Consider upgrading to a larger cabin if more than 3 or 4 people are going.
