Went to Cornerstone Cafe on Saturday, October 26th. The place was packed. We got the last table in the corner. While it was a bit cramped the service was prompt and courteous. The food in my opinion was exactly as you would expect. The biscuit and sausage gravy was delicious! Certainly a nice hometown experience.

Arrived at about 8:00 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was empty except for one other couple. I had one of the specials, Salisbury steak. Unfortunately, it had been been cooked for so long that it was no longer 'steak' but 'mush.' The chicken fingers were also overly cooked and quite hard. Butternut squash was the best thing that we had.

Service was good; but the poor food was hard to overcome. Perhaps it would have been better had we come earlier in the evening.

The waitress was funny, helpful (told us how to order our breakfast to get it cheaper) and on top of her game. The food was good, hot and served quickly. The place was busy, had a comfortable vibe and mostly filled with friendly locals.

It wasn't a gourmet experience (an egg is an egg and grits are grits) but we left happy, full and satisfied and started our drive on highway 52 toward home very pleased with our lot in life!

Had breakfast this morning at Corner Stone. Service was okay with just one waitress. Food was very average. I thought $3.00 for a side of bacon was a bit steep when it includes only 3 slices. I had higher expectations for this place.

Very nice people and great service but the food is just ok. We had breakfast there and I really wanted to like the food but it was bland. The omelette and scrambled eggs were tasteless and the bacon was too salty. The biscuits were the best thing we had. I was disappointed and will most likely not eat there again.
