Owner description: These beautiful historic gardens and arboretum dating back to the late 1700's are surrounded by over 1600 acres of countryside within the picturesque village of Upper Arley beside the river Severn. In addition to providing wonderful walks through the grounds there are walks along the banks of the river, all set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views. Go back in time and watch the Severn Valley Railway trains steam across the hill from one of the magnificent signposted walks. It is a garden that provides the ideal day out for you and your family, a dream escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our proximity to Birmingham, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Worcester, the Malverns and Cotswolds makes us the ideal attraction for individuals and groups alike. The estate offers plenty to do for all ages from the Italian garden with its fountain for the adults, to the dinosaur and fairy trails and maze for the young ones. Arley Estate and Arboretum also provides a unique venue for your wedding reception, civil ceremony, or partnership. There is more to Arley Estate and Arboretum than just a garden. It can also be used for corporate hospitality, promotional and photographic shoots and filming. Furthermore, there is a wonderful tea room, where you can buy a light lunch or full, traditional afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy your visit to Arley Arboretum and Garden and thank you for taking time to look at our Trip Advisor page.

“A hidden gem.”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

Rushed here on the Sunday before the last bank holiday of the year as the weather was lovely and this has occurred rarely this year. It was just a beautiful place and the addition of a Dinosour trail for my son made it even more fun for him too. The views were stunning, the sound and sight of the nearby Severn Valley steam trains was also splendid. People of all ages were there and all seemed to be enjoying the peace and tranquility of the place. We had fun going through the maze and the water features and gardens were beautiful. After you have walked round take a left turn outside towards Upper Arley village and take a walk by the river as this completed our lovely day out.Would highly recommend!

“Best kept secret...”

Who would have thought that trees would be so interesting. For a city dweller Arley Arboretum was a calm, relaxing and magical place. Great for my two children to run around and engage in the activity walks. For the adult the surrounding beauty of the gardens and local countryside is breathtaking. Definitely take a picnic with you and relax whilst taking in the sounds of birds and the trees swaying. The Crimean Pine is majestic. The staff are cheerful and helpful and the place offers excellent valley for money. I hope it stays a little off the "beaten track" as it's not busy which makes the experience all the more satisfying. Brilliant.

“beautiful tranquil place”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

One of my favourite tranquil places to visit - have been loads of times and always feel the same sense of peace and wellbeing. The trees are magnificent and enchanting - the sound of them swaying in the wind is so soothing. Some beautiful views and the Italian garden is gorgeous. Bring a picnic or treat yourself to a cream tea at the little restaurant - happy days :-)

“Beautify”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

We come here regularly with our son who loves running around the trees and bushes.

The grounds are very beautiful with stunning trees! Pools and fountains are very attractive also but could do with regular cleaning. There are some chickens and owls which are lovely to see.

At the end of a walk there is a little tea room which is a nice way to end the experience.

Price at the time of writing this was £6 per adult and under 3's are free. Worth a visit 100%!
