I have to scoff at the negative reviews of the Wellesley Inn here in Atlanta. After a wonderful honeymoon our return trip from Miami to Detroit was preempted by some rather fierce weather in Atlanta. With our flight canceled, AirTran offered us up a voucher to the Wellesley Inn. Along with everyone else, my wife and I packed a shuttle and arrived in the early evening to a wide eyed clerk working registration. To hotel management: I wish I had gotten her name, it was Sunday evening January 23, 2010. She was magnificent! She handled easily a couple dozen patrons in less then 15-20 minutes tops. The room was as it should have been for an airport establishment inviting and inviting. Dinner at the adjoining restaurant was delicious, our wake up call was spot on, and shuttle timely the following morning. Was the hotel perfect? No, and that was just fine, it's not the Ritz or some other high class establishment, it's an Airport inn and it served it's purpose well, and that evenings clerk made the stay that much better.
Thanks Wellesley Inn for making our panicked situation a whole lot easier!More
