“Great location and awesome staff”

Due to a missed flight connection we were overnighting in Atlanta unexpectedly. This has to be one of the best values for the money with a great location near ATL. When we arrived late at night and again when we headed out to the airport early in the morning the staff was helpful and friendly beyond our expectations. Rooms were clean and comfortable with the usual business traveler amenities. Noticed they had an indoor pool which we would have enjoyed if we had the time. There is a charge for breakfast but the buffet had a nice selection of food as well as their "made to order" menu. Complimentary shuttle for the airport is not 24/7 but nearly so. We were glad the small pantry market was available when we checked in since that became dinner due to the late hour. They also had small entrees that could be heated up in the guest room microwave. Thanks to the staff our unexpected and forced night in Atlanta made our one night stay a pleasant experience. Kudos for customer service!

Some of the best staff encountered--anywhere! I will use again. Meeting room arrangements easy and well done. Night clerk, Doris, a delight. N. Henderson is very helpful setting up meeting rooms, erupt. and setup. Quick trip to and from airport.

I travel all over the world, 200+ days per year and only stay at Hilton properties when possible. That being said, this HGI has always been in my top 3 properties. Ammenities, staff and property as a whole is awesome. Thank you for making me feel at home when I'm away from home.

We stayed here as it is close to the airport. We arrived and when we checked the desk clerk Debra pleasantly informed me that I was their "Guest of the Day". There was a plaque on the wall stating this also. I was so surprised and just tickled pink.. LOL... Debra gave me a free breafast voucher for the next morning at their restaurant. This was such an nice extra touch. The room was great clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing was the pillows were way to soft.

I went to Atlanta for a three day visit and after adding in the cost of parking at all downtown hotels and the need to buy breakfast elsewhere because it isn't included I found this to be a less expensive alternative. The hotel was quiet, well maintained and had excellent amenities. I'm an Honors member so I had the high speed Internet access as part of the deal and it worked flawlessly. The breakfast was sumptuous and abundant. The shuttle was quick and clean though it uses the airport MARTA station instead of the closest one to the hotel. I really couldn't find a thing to fault.

We are regular Hilton Garden Inn guests and this one meets the standards of most that we stay at with one exception, the breakfast. The rooms were nice (though there was some hair near the tub in the bathroom) and quiet, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the pool area was very nice, which is an important issue to us. We choose the free breakfast as our perk for being HHonors members instead of the extra points as the meals are usually very nice and filling. On Saturday morning it was very busy and we sat and waited for a server for quite a while. We finally got waited on and then waited over 30 minutes to get our hot breakfast. They told us to go ahead and help ourselves to fruit, there was almost none, yogurt, there was none and very few sweet rolls or bread. When we get our food finally it was cold. It was a very bad day for them we could tell by just looking at their servers faces. On Sunday they had the hot food set up buffet style and we chose not to risk waiting on omelets from the kitchen. The food was good. When taking our order the server asked if we wanted French toast or pancakes and I asked for French toast. I never received it. Again for HGI this was the worst experience we ever had with breakfast but the rest of the stay was well worth the price we paid. It is very convenient to the highway and is close to food and gas stations. Check it out and hopefully they will have their breakfast issues worked out.

Room Tip: Upper floor was very quiet.

We stayed here the night before our Hawaii trip and the night we came back. We booked a park and ride/breakfast deal for the first night. Good deal. It isn't really somewhere we would stay if we were on a trip to enjoy Atlanta (too far from everything but the airport) but it was fine for what we wanted it for. Everyone was very nice with the exception of one girl at check-in. We are HH Gold and get a choice of breakfast or 1000 extra pts. for the stay. She asked us which one we wanted. Since we had booked the deal that included breakfast, we asked her shouldn't we get the points in addition to the breakfast (since essentially we had already paid for breakfast). She never responded, just kept typing on her computer. She had already been a little snotty before that, so we didn't press any further. The next morning, my husband asked the guy that was on duty about it and he went in to make it right. She had not. Other than her, everyone was great.

Pros-
1) Firm but comfortable bed (They say that you can adjust it, and it has knobs on each side to do that, but we really didn't see any difference when we turned the knob)
2) Tall shower head and soft towels
3) Bed Bath and Body Works Shampoo, Lotion and Conditioner--Rain Kissed Leaves--it smells so good
4) Room was very clean
5) Close to the airport
6) Shuttle to take you to the airport
7) You can park your car here for 14 nights vs. 7 at most other hotels
8) They have yummy cookies, and good old southern tea out in the lobby in the afternoon/night and coffee in the mornings

Cons
1) Breakfast--cooked to order. We were told that it starts at 6:30. We got to the restaurant at 7:00. There were no hot foods ready. The waitress was very apologetic. She said that the cook had just come in so it should be up shortly. They did have the pastries, fruit, and juices out. After we finally got them, the grits were not good (very thick), the eggs okay, and the bacon was good. One of the coffee cups on our table was really dirty so we asked for "to go" cups. The salt shaker also had something caked all over the top of it. We most likely would not eat there again-free or not.

Overall, it was a good place to stay. We stayed again when we came back. The room was clean and we had a good nights sleep both nights. We will use this hotel again when flying.
