My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a 10 day road trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We decided a couple weeks prior to our trip to go to MegaCon before going home and this was the only hotel I could find that was close to a MARTA station.
After a week of staying in hotels and bed & breakfasts, this La Quinta was quite a surprise. It started as a "take what you can get" situation to pick this hotel but it ended up being a "get more than you paid for" when we experienced it. This was the cheapest of our 5 lodging options on our trip and far and away the best. The room was decorated in a very modern, lush, and beautiful way. The bed was extremely comfortable - even more so than our double pillowtop at home. The location of the hotel is perfect - just a couple blocks from a MARTA station with free parking so you can get downtown in 20-30 minutes with no traffic or downtown pay-for-parking woes.
The only negatives I can say about this place is that the pool and the hot tub were a little scummy (but the towels provided outside for guests was a big plus) and the breakfast was your standard chain hotel continental fare (i.e. uninteresting).More
