“A must do for the mountains”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

My husband and I stop here while on the way to Cherokee or just scoot up here for a quick getaway. The food is awesome!! Fresh veggies, meat selections such as ham, fried chicken, steak and gravy, fried fish make the meal phenominal. The yeast rolls are melt in your mouth heaven. Its serves family style at your table will all you care to eat. The view is breathtaking out over the mountains. The wait staff was helpful, buzzed by your table often, and kept our drinks filled. The blackberry cobbler with ice cream was the perfect dessert. Best fried okra I have ever eaten!!!

“Great place to entertain houseguests.”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Got a house full of company? Entertain and feed them here. Treat them to a beautiful mountain tour coupled with a great meal. Dillard House has good country cooking, served in great abundance by a polite waitstaff. All the refills you want, and a to-go box each to take home your leftovers. All at a decent price for an "all-you-can-eat" place.

“So Sugar laden the food was ruined.”
Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

After hearing about great Southern cooking we were excited to try the Dillard House. We went for lunch and was served fried chicken, ham, collard greens, acorn squash, fried okra and a marinated salad. Dessert was only one choice only which consisted of apple a la mode.
Each dish contained so much sugar , the only thing we tasted was sugar, sugar, and more sugar. The ham was unedible because of the salt.
Drinks were served five to ten minutes after our meal. We also were not given silverware.
We will not return as the Dillard House was not an explarary example of Southern cooking.....too much sugar.

“Unlimited Yumminess!!!!”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

For about $20 per person you get about 10 different dishes (maybe more...I lost count) & it is sooo worth it. If you want a refill on Cabbage Casserole (to die for), you'll get it. If you want more Acorn Squash Casserole (another to die for), you'll get it. Everything is wonderful! Doggy bags are allowed, but only 1 per person, so basically eat what you can. Their fried chicken is to die for too!

The wait staff is excellent for refilling anything you want (there is even one guy there that looks exactly like Matt Dillon).
