I love the choices Seven Hens gives you, for combinations of meats, breads and sauces. I try to avoid lots of carbs, so I go for the plate where the meat and bread aren't combined, and chicken is my favorite, with the French sauce, hummus and some slaw on the side.

I found Seven Hens online, while looking for something new and different for lunch. Inside is quite casual, like a fastfood restaurant. The menu items were like nothing I had ever seen, so the Chef was very helpful in explaining everything. Chicken Schnitzel is hammered out chicken, either fried or roasted, which they serve as a sandwich, wrap, or salad. With each of these you can choose flavors from a selection of various countries. Being a country boy, I chose fried on a sub roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I must say it was really good, and the service was excellent.

Seven Hens offers several variations on the chicken sandwich, based on different international styles. You first choose a country for the sandwich ingredients: for example, German (sauerkraut, onions), Italian (pesto, sun dried tomato), Chinese (teriyaki glaze) or design your own from a variety of ingredients. Next, you choose whether you want schnitzel (fried) or grilled chicken or tofu instead. Finally, you choose your bread. Alternatively, you can have a platter or salad. Seven Hens offers a variety of sides to go with your sandwich including fries, sweet potato fries, coleslaw, cucumber salad and hummus.

My sandwich (the German) was very satisfying, sufficiently salty and savory. The hummus, however, had a bit too much lemon juice, but made for a relatively healthy side. I tried some of my friends' fries which were incredibly tasty.

Overall, I highly recommend Seven Hens for a delicious lunch if you are in the Emory/Decatur area.

Recommended by a friend, this was an enjoyable lunch. Portion sizes are large enough that they are shareable.
