Food is wonderful! Ambiance is really nice and service is great. May seem a little pricy for some, but I've always believed you get what you pay for. Took friends visiting from Belgium to eat there. They loved it, too.

My wife Kathi and I eat at the Blue Bicycle almost every week, and it is the highlight of each week. The food is always excellent, they have a nice selection of wine including many from local vineyards, and the desserts are great. In addition to great food, both Kati and Guy usually spend some time chatting with us and bringing up to date on what their daughters are doing. It is always a pleasure going there, and we are truly blessed to have them here.

Ordered off the Prix Fixe menu and the meal was an excellent value. The crab cake app was delicious. I had the veal and husband had the flat iron steak, both were excellent. The bottle of William Hill Merlot came out way too cold but it was a cold night. After it warmed up, it was excellent. Brought home a piece of Pistachio Cake with White Chocolate frosting! Best dessert ever!

It's a long way to Buckhead from where we live near the Outlet Mall so we were intrigued by the Blue Bicycle's billboard proclaiming "Buckhead Dining without the Drive". Being avid cyclists the name got our attention as well.

Our expectations weren't very high as we parked and surveyed the rather nondescript front door of the restaurant in an equally nondescript, well hidden class B strip plaza. next to the Outlet Mall.

Everything changed when we went inside and met the owner and his wife. Where to start... the food is fantastic .. rather French, smaller portions but freshly prepared and always unique,... this is definitely not an American chain restaurant. The wine selection is short but interesting, their "story" is one we can all relate to, they have several special event prix fixe nights throughout the year, and the prices are very reasonable. For example, each year they do a night dedicated to the release of Beaujolais Nouveax featuring unlimited Beaujolais and a four course meal (I had the trout) for under $100 a couple.

Suffice to say that we have become regulars, dining with them 5-6 times a year. It has become our special occasion "date night" place. This past New Years we invited 4 other couples to make the trek to Dawsonville and everyone was impressed.

The service can sometimes be slow on a busy night but there is no snob factor whatsoever as the owners are regular Joes and the staff are mostly local college students. It's in the country after all.

With the expansion of their bar area we will sometimes stop by on Saturday afternoon for a glass of wine with some bread and cheese after shopping at the Outlets.

They are closed Sunday and Monday for family time and to shop for the next week's meals.

Fresh and interesting menu limited in number of offerings but perhaps this is why the items are consistently excellent. They also have an interesting prix fixe menu which is a great value. The atmosphere is inviting and warm with a touch of comfortable sophistication. The service has been outstanding on each of our visits. They suggest they work hard to source food locally and by the freshness, taste, and presentation we believe this to be accurate. The frequent specials are also very nice with some interesting nuances from time to time. Without question in our opinion, the best all around restaurant in the area. It has quickly become our favorite and has rendered trips to Buckhead for dinner unnecessary. Such a refreshing experience from the mostly ho--hum restaurants and chains around here. Even though they have been here now for a few years, people are still discovering it. If you haven't, perhaps its time you did.
