Description: We are a full service 68 seat restaurant in an unpretentious setting. Chef owned and operated since 2005. Eclectic menu leans toward French with a southern accent. Menu is seasonal with local items when we can get them and EVERYTHING is made in-house. We offer a range of selections for both the cautious and adventurous diner. Wine list of about 75 offerings with representations spanning the globe, including a handful of local N.Georgia wines. Full bar, crafting cocktails.

We visit the Blue Bicycle regularly when in Dawsonville. Food and service continue to be first rate. Good variety of choices, something that is sadly lacking in the chain restaurants and Bar B Que places which surround the outlet mall area. Staff is friendly and knowledgable, and the owners are always present. Their fish entrees are particularly fresh and nicely prepared. Worth the drive from Atlanta or anywhere else.

Casual and comfortable with great service and food. Nice wine selection. Different salt and pepper shakers on each table. Just wonderful menu selection. There is just one problem (and this is minor) you have to know where to look. It is behind the shopping mall. It is not where you would expect to find it. Believe me it is worth the hunt.

Have reviewed 'the Bike' before, however wanted to review again since it's been a while. We have discovered that we absolutely adore (yes weird) their Cuban sandwich! It's honestly the best we have ever had, even over Cuban restaurants! Still love the Warm Chèvre on Mixed Greens with Smoked Bacon and Walnuts! You can add 1 or 2 crab cakes & this is a delightful meal with a glass of wine. :) Again, the fries are the best we have ever had - perfectly crispy, golden & salty. The chocolate macadamia mousse is perfection! I like that they source local product when possible, including N GA wines, and have weekly specials based on what's fresh. The chef is very friendly, often coming out to say Hey, and his wife has opened up & is quite pleasant. Love the rest of the staff too! Just a very pleasant experience all the way around. :)

I've wanted to visit this bistro since it opened and finally made it there last night. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. All four of our party were unhappy with our food. The Caesar salad appeared to have been made earlier in the day and was terrible. The beef tips and pasta was way over cooked and dry. And the beer was skunky. Not a good night. The service by Matt was fine, but we won't be back.

Wonderful dinner! Nice menu choices (special New Year's Eve menu) - 4 courses for $48 - can't beat that. Everyone at my table had the spinach soup, which was light and flavorful, with fried oysters. Then a nice salad. We each tried a different entree and everyone was happy. I had the trout with crab, and the other two entrees were quail and beef. All delicious. A neighbor raved about the chocolate cherry dessert being just like something they'd had in France, so of course I had to try it. The evening was fun as we're a small town and half the restaurant knew each other. The dinner felt leisurely (especially at first as we waited close to 45 minutes for the soup), but the rest of the courses came out in a timely fashion and we didn't feel rushed to make room for the next group. Very nice way to end the year! Katie (the owner) was in bling and smiling, and our waitress Frankie was a sweetheart and very accomodating.

I'll have to say that sometimes the service is not great at Blue Bicycle, though the food generally is, but this night everyone was on their game and put together a very nice experience for all of us! One of the best meals I've ever had? That would be pushing it - but definitely a great meal! The trout was outstanding.
