This is a FRESH FISH restaurant. The shrimp boats are tied up out front, and the catch of the day is on the specials board. We sat facing the river and the boats with some folks from St Simons Island who frequent the place and could not say enough about the place.
But they were justified in their praise. We had oysters and shrimp and an order of pulled pork (called pig pickin) which made for a great dinner.
The town of Darien has a number of old homes in every condition, some are fully rehabbed, and others not so much--but the residents have a sense of community, and were having a pre-4th of July weekend party. Lots of fun and games and music, all of which added to the pleasure of our dining experience.
