Darien Outlet Center
Ranked #17 of 18 things to do in Darien
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: Darien Outlet Center is a conveniently located open-air shopping center featuring merchants such as Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Gap Outlet, Coach Factory and Tommy Hilfiger, along with unique and eclectic shops, boutiques and thrifts stores. The streets are cobble stone, the flower baskets bloom bright and often the flags flutter in the coastal breezes. The savings are tremendous, and the shopping adventure is real. Easy access off Interstate 95 at exit 49, mid-way between Savannah and Jacksonville, within two miles of historic downtown Darien, "where Georgia began." Latest addition - James Allen, Southern Picker Antiques Outlet.

“sad”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We always stop here on the way from the beach and buy school shoes, and thats about all you can get. I can't believe they only have like 5 stores. A big waste of space if you ask me. The shops at the Savannah exit are sad too and have duplicate stores. I was tempted to drive to South Carolina just to go to Tanger Outlets.

“The Bargains are worth checking out!”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

This location is under new ownership and management. While many of the stores are out of business there were many good buys in the stores that are still open. This location needs a sitdown restaurant or coffee shop. That would make for a nice pit stop/shopping experience.

“Very disappointing; 85% of the stores are empty/closed”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

This was a very disappointing destination for my husband and me while we were in Darien. There were only a handful of stores and many empty spaces. About 85% of the stores are empty/closed. Of those that are there, I found no real bargains. If you happened to be driving by and the store you like is there, it might be worthwhile to stop. I do not recommend making a special trip to go here as you will be wasting your time.

“Not many stores”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Most stores vacant but the stores that are there had great buys and friendly employees. An antique store, Ralph Lauren, kitchen collection, Bealls, Carters and show stores.

“Good service in a small mall”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We recently visited here, on our way to Jekyll. Island. The mall is under new management, so hopefully it will have more tenants in the future. The staff in the stores we visited ( Ralph Lauren, Kitchen Collection, Tommy Hilifiger and Coach), went out of their way to be helpful. The stores were well stocked and not cluttered, as some outlet stores can be disorganized. They offered excellent bargains as well.
