This little restaurant is located just over the bridge in Darien, Ga (McIntosh County). I eat here on a regular basis. The owners, Terry and Nicole Dowling, have the right combination that makes a great place to eat. Location, good prices, great staff and excellent food. They mainstays are steak and seafood. The have a 16 ounce rib-eye that will make you want to go hug the cook, no matter how ugly he might be. Their seafood is the freshest and best around. They are located less than a quarter mile from where the local shrimp boats come in to unload. They feature an all you can buffet every night that changes daily. Friday and Saturday nights are the best. All you can eat seafood for about $21 and you can add all you can eat crab legs for just a little more. Hint: Get there early to avoid the wait because the secret is out. The lunch buffets are just as good. Saturdays are fried chicken, fried pork chops, and more for just $9. And that includes you drink and taxes. Sundays are just as good with fried chicken, roast beef, ham and country vegetables for $9. The macaroni & cheese is the "best". Saturday and Sunday lunches are like going to grandma's house. GREAT. They say if you are picking a restaurant first look for a lot of cars, then look to see if the car tags are "local". Local folks know where to fine the best. If you get within 50 miles of Darien, don't miss this place. Buffet or menu, everything is good. we go here four to six times a month.
