I will say this first - I'm used to staying in Hilton/Hampton hotels so I may be a bit picky. However, the best review I can give this hotel is/was the staff. VERY friendly greeting by two energetic and accommodating staff members. I was certainly hopeful by how nice they were and how clean the obviously older hotel lobby seemed to be. Nonetheless, the room was a bit musty when I entered and so I had to turn the AC up high to help clear the air. When I looked around the room for a place to plug my laptop and phone to charge, there were very few reachable plugs anywhere. I had to unplug a lamp and take a multi-plug adapter from out behind the mini fridge just to plug both of them in and still have enough light in the room. I did notice there were a few wall cover plates where plugs may have been at one time or another but not now. Bring a power strip with you if you plan on being in town for business and need plugs. Finally, the bed was not very comfortable. I could tell the bed mattress was either old and stiff or just cheap. If you're like me and have back issues from traveling so much, you might think again about staying somewhere else. If not - the room is cheap enough I guess. $30 more and you can stay at the local Hilton across the interstate... Again - I feel sorry to write such negative things with such a friendly staff. Maybe the owner could spruce things up a bit, have an electrician look at putting in and fixing the plug issues, and getting nice mattresses. I'd be happy to review again afterwards... BTW - make sure to lock your door with the latch. The maids come in pretty quick after the first knock. (oops! - that one's on me. doah!!!)
